When I read on here of Grans loosing their husbands/partners, I feel so grateful that I still have mine. I never take that for granted.
I couldn’t imagine my life without him to the point it might sound selfish, but I really hope I go first

I love my spouse. We’ve been together for 42 years. He does a lot around the house and runs me about as I don’t drive. He’s also a wonderful father and grandfather. Of course he annoys me at times, as I do him but I cannot bear to think of life without him. So, yes, I must stop and be thankful for I have been blessed.

I lost my DH 19 weeks ago after 57 years im heartbroken. Devastated, i now tell everyone love them like there is no tomorrow, dont put off telling them by leaving it till tomorrow as tomorrow never comes and you too will be devaststed. I used to tell my DH daily at least he knew when he passed my heart, my love my very being went with him. My life will never be the same again he was My Mr Wonderful been with him since i was 17,im in bits. Take care everyone. He was my life and one and only true love there will never be anyone else for me xxx

I am so sorry, Basgetti. What a horrible shock for you. I know exactly what you mean by wanting to go with them, it feels terrible to be the one left behind.

It’s ten weeks ago for me and today is my daughter’s wedding. Such a maelstrom of emotions.
