Can anyone please recommend a good film to watch. Really struggling to find one and with the football on tv is going to be rather difficult to watch at the moment. Don't like too much swearing but I realise nowadays it's difficult to watch a film without swearing in it. Just a good old story please?

I watched Where The Crawdads Sing last night and enjoyed it.

I’ve recorded this and as I loved the book so much am a little anxious about how it translates. So good to hear your enjoyment of it.

Ditto! Loved the book and although I've recorded the film not sure whether to watch as don't want to be disappointed.

Mrs Harris Goes To Paris is lovely.

I loved that! Also I think it’s called Mrs Callicat Cabbage Wars (?) but it’s with Pauline Collins and very funny.

Also Saving Grace.

It’s called “Disclosure Day” starring Emily Blunt and Colin Firth. My friend enjoyed it - I thought it was self indulgent
Nonsense, and I adored Close Encounters, but not this one.

👍🏻 I’ve never seen close encounters

Following along for suggestions. I don’t like swearing or violence - so many modern films seem to contain copious amounts of both. As a result I mainly watch gardening and interiors programmes. I can recommend Mrs Harris goes to Paris - very up-lifting. I saw it at the cinema with a friend and we both enjoyed it.

The Stepdaughter, starring Gil Gerard and Andrea Roth.

It was very well acted, and there were loads of gorgeous horses!
