Can anyone please recommend a good film to watch. Really struggling to find one and with the football on tv is going to be rather difficult to watch at the moment. Don't like too much swearing but I realise nowadays it's difficult to watch a film without swearing in it. Just a good old story please?

I absolutely loved the one about Florence Foster Jenkins. I'm not sure what it's called though. Meryl Streep is magnificent in it!

A good fun film is Ladies First, it’s on Netflix and maybe on other channels too.

I have several films that I’ve recorded over the past week as I knew I wouldn’t be watching football. A favourite is Robin & Marian with Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn playing the characters in their middle age. I

"23 Walks" and "Forever My Girl" are two feel-good films I've watched recently on Amazon Prime. Nothing offensive about either of them!

I’ve recorded this and as I loved the book so much am a little anxious about how it translates. So good to hear your enjoyment of it.

dogsmother. I loved the book, too, and also the film. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

One of the best films I've seen is 'Lion' a true story, very moving. At the end in the cinema people stood up and clapped.
Dev Patel stars.

Another one of his is 'Slumdog Millionaire', another great film. Both older films and worth second viewings.

Other favourites are 'Bohemian Rhapsody' the story of Queen. And 'Rocketman' about Elton John's life.

Richard Jewell on Netflix directed by Clint Eastwood, based on a true story. Watched it last night; brilliant and will stay with me for sometime.

‘The Bird Cage’ with Robin Williams, Nathan Lane and Gene Hackman. It is hilarious and totally over the top!

I watched ‘The Choral’; lovely film.

I’m planning to rewatch The Lord of the Rings trilogy but I’d like to buy the editors cut.

Please look at Puzzle (2018) on Netflix.
Not so well know but I thought it was fantastic.
Agnes, taken for granted as a suburban mother, discovers a passion for solving jigsaw puzzles which draws her into a new world.

Otherwise, Local Hero is a great film.
Also Enchanted April - it's on YT
