Good morning all. It's cooler on the Angus coast this morning, with more cloud and rain forecast for this afternoon until tomorrow evening. Back to the good weather in Thursday though.
Happy travelling to the holidaymakers today and 🤞 for no airport shenanigans tomorrow Pantglas.
So glad Miss Oops seems to have turned a corner - what a pernicious bug!
Today is Tai chi and shopping, then a good tidy round - looks like someone has stirred the garden room with a stick!

We have hot water, engineer came at 10am replaced transformer, said he would do the service while he was there found another couple of things that needed replacing so hopefully that's it now till next service.

A morning of pottering indoors. Not sure whether to join the group walk today or whether it will even take p!ace, due to the heat; may get the bus to the starting point then play it by ear. Need to post my vote, anyway.

Good morning from sunny Sefton. We were all in fine voice in singing yesterday. Our confidence is definitely on the up & we are now singing like 'no one is listening' - Result! My plants didn't get planted ... too hot.🌞
No plans for today in anticipation of the heat......DH has just appeared in his shorts, 'Hawaiian ' shirt & sandals (but no socks - he does listen😬).
Tewkesbury is an interesting mediaeval market town with many listed buildings grandMattie. We spent a season there years ago as wardens on the caravan site just down from the abbey. The abbey is lovely. There is a big battle re-enactment (Wars of the Roses 1471) & medieval market every July. Definitely worth a visit.

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 14°C.

Fingers crossed for MissOops and glad to hear your appointment went well, yesterday.

DH and I had a day trip to Prestwick yesterday. We chose yesterday, because it was supposed to be 23°C and sunny.
As we left the house, it started to rain, but fortunately it cleared up later.
Prestwick was surprisingly quiet, which suits me. A stroll along the seafront, a delicious lunch and a wander around the boutiques made for a pleasant day.
However, I was struggling to walk and quite breathless. 😒
When we got home, I sat down, fell asleep in the stifling conservatory and woke up two hours later! Not the best of ideas, I felt awful when I awoke!

I have a double whammy medical appointment today, COPD and heart check up. I need some intervention regarding my bronchiectasis, but not getting anywhere fast.

I hope Litterpicker's SIL is OK after his cycling accident.

Good morning from a beautiful Suffolk day where there was a lovely breeze yesterday. Hoping for similar today but it’s still at the moment.

As always I enjoyed lunch with my friend yesterday in the cool of the bar of our favourite pub. It hasn’t changed in the 40 years we have lived here apart from being less busy on Wednesdays. This was when there used to be a livestock market in the morning and when it finished everyone retired to this pub.

Today,apart from our usual dog walk,it will be a day of keeping out of the direct sun and enjoying reading and relaxing.

Hope those who are unwell or caring for others have a good day and those travelling have good journeys.

I meant to wish all the travellers a happy holiday.

We are off to our local hospital this morning. DH has a blood test ready for his operation tomorrow.
I have been given an urgent appointment with ENT, I only saw the doctor last Thursday. I'm feeling a tiny bit apprehensive.
No plans for later apart from watching the football this evening.

Good morning from a warm and sunny Black Country.

Back from our travels to Albufeira, Lisbon and Sintra. Lovely weather which we seem to have brought back with us!

Today I am taking Mum over to Telford to visit with Aunt and cousin. Lunch at a pub nearby, then we tootle over to Ironbridge. Mum lived there briefly as a 14 year old, as she was sent to be a 'Companion' to an elderly Aunt. After a couple of months she was bored and wrote home asking to come back!

The roofers were busy yesterday which is good but they weren't popular with the nesting seagull whose 2 fledglings are testing the new slates for a ski run.

My Kiwi DS and family are staying for a few days so my routine is changing daily.
I may take DGS to Glasgow tomorrow because he's never been there. I thought the transport museum on the waterfront would be good. Other suggestions welcome. He's 12.
Big DGS is 17 today. Time passes too quickly.

Grammaretto, Kelvingrove Museum is another possible venue.

The Riverside ( Transport) Museum and Kelvingrove will be busy, due to the schools being off.
The Burrell is also an idea a, lovely grounds and a restaurant.

The best way ( although expensive) to see them all ( as they are in different areas of the city) is the open top tour, that way you can jump on and off at your leisure.

Patio jet washed yesterday and music club for the first time in weeks this afternoon. Will have a warble as the voice will be rusty.
I really need to put my big girl knickers on and make an appointment for the rumbling abscess. Such a baby.

Sat in the garden under a parasol yesterday reading, very pleasant and made phone calls. Hate the phone, but doing things outside is a pleasure, including writing a long letter to my housebound BIL.

Good Morning, it’s drizzling here in Co Armagh! I moved plants and added others to my tiny patch yesterday so the rain is welcome , the soil was bone dry
I did too much yesterday so it’s a sit and crochet day today
I hope miss oops continues to improve

After a day of admin yesterday today is bed changing and laundry, now drying rapidly in the sunshine. I have a meeting later, supermarket shop and book to finish so that’s today sorted. Hope the Oops family have a better day and that the good weather cheers us all. Soon be complaining about the heat, I expect.

Good morning from coastal West Sussex. It’s blue skies again but muggier than yesterday. I didn’t sleep well last night after hearing from DD1 that SiL was in A&E after being knocked over by a speeding cyclist on a shared use path while he was running with two mates. He had grazed knees and elbows and couldn’t move his shoulder. DD took him to nearest A&E where they were told there would be at least an 8 hour wait to be seen. They then went in the other direction to city A&E where it was standing room only. He couldn’t sit even if there had been a chair because he was in so much pain. They did give him paracetamol but couldn’t give anything else until he’d been seen by a doctor. Eventually, he had an x-ray and was told it was a rotator cuff injury and they were sending him home but then called him back for another x-ray and CT scan and decided he had a dislocated shoulder. They put it back in place but it popped out again so he is now waiting for an operation. I was so angry and distressed at the state of things and also with the uncaring cyclist who apparently was only concerned about his bike, that it took me a long time to calm down. Thank you to Marydoll and others who responded to my late night post. I am hoping the other Gnetter who posted about her own condition sought help. My DD works in adult social care and she says increasingly, service users refuse to let carers call for an ambulance when they are taken ill, because they can’t face the inevitable hours of waiting to be seen.

I am glad to hear MissOops is getting some relief from her medication. I hope she, and her Mum, can get some rest.

I had a haircut booked for 9am. My hair is now very short, which DH doesn’t like but it feels so much better.

I will continue with some gentle gardening later. It was planned that I would go to DDs as it is her day off and we were going to tackle the bindweed in her garden but I have said I will leave her in peace and go later in the week.

In the meantime I must get on with sorting the garage, where it is relatively cool, as we are storing boxes of kitchen stuff for DD3 while they have a major refurb. The sorting is of our stuff which has become chaotic again though it doesn’t seem long since I tidied and labelled things. Some unneeded clutter must go!
