An early sighting!

Oh dear, I link such irritating adverts with old Disney films like Cinderella.

I used to wear Poison and it smelt deep and luscious on me but it smelt awful on my poor friend. I used to wear a perfume called Geminnesse, again it was deep and sultry until I after I had my first child and my body chemistry must have changed because it smelt like cat's pee, I was very upset. Poison still smells lovely on me but I have been wearing Lush's Karma for about 20+ years now.
The adverts are quite daft and sometimes confusing but the ad makers are trying to sell a lifestyle product - it's the same with most ads, I hate the vacuum cleaner adverts , especially the ones where the houses are all huge and airy and white.... and they have a huge pile of debris on the floor.

Don't watch ads! Just record everything on commercial channels & then watch what you want ,when you want & whiz through the ads- been doing it for years.
You also gain a lot of time,

Have you noticed that ads for companies like Dolce and Gabbana always feature one of those oiled, muscle bound men who could only appeal to gay men? Why do they think it would encourage women to use their perfume?

Little Red Riding Hood a la Chanel...

OH bought me Poison for a birthday way back when. Wondered if it was a message, especially when it smelt so awful I had to scrub it off! Gave it to my friend and it smelt wonderful on her - I had no idea perfumes could change so much from person to person. Glad it wasn't just me.

Men write these.

I always mentally switch off (or fast forward if recorded) when the adverts are on so have no idea what you are all talking about. I go into Boots (other stores are available ) and have a sniff at the reduced samples. If I find one I like on offer I will buy it. Several times in the past people have said, 'That's nice. What is it?' I usually have no idea!

My 11 year old DGD and I whiled away an hour in the airport this year by seeking out the most expensive perfumes and sampling them. I think £110 was the record. I have to say neither of us was much impressed by the smell of most of them.

And how about Rive Gauche which used to be practically a mandatory purchase at the Duty Free? What a stink!

I wear Liz Earl perfumes everyday and on special occasions! I used to wear Obsession... but the postie who delivered to work recognised the scent and said it made him feel very randy ..that rather put me off it particularly as he was not my type !

i am glad i dont wear perfume .most of it is made from animals oils .mainly musk (which is from a hog).yukkkkk

PECS, strange you should say that.
I was wearing Obsession, and a man at the bus stop said to me, practically drooling "Mmm.. darling, I can smell you from here.."
I never wore it again. I gave it to my friend.

I don't do perfume, many of them make my nose stream like a tap.
