Good morning from Malta where it is already 27.6°C and will rise to 39°C later.

I enjoyed meeting my friend for coffee yesterday. We changed the venue as the a/c was better but the coffee wasn’t as good as in our usual café.

Had my hair done then went to Lidl which wasn’t too busy so I didn’t take long to do my shopping. Needless to say, I had left my list at home so had to try to remember what I had written,

The boys arrived late afternoon and, as usual, were hungry so it was good that I had stocked up! They eat such a lot but are both very slim.

We read stories for an hour before bedtime and they both went out like a light and are still asleep. I do love our sleepovers, I wish I could hold this special time for longer, it is too fleeting.

I expect DD3 will collect them after lunch as she enjoys a lie-in and would have been late getting to bed last night after going to see Lewis Capaldi in concert (no idea who he is but she is a fan).

Wishing you all a good day. How is it Wednesday already? The sands of time are rushing too fast for my liking!☀️

Good morning from a dawning Bristol.
Hope the sky keeps clear for both the eclipse and the Perseid shower. DD has asked me to join them for a picnic dinner on the Downs to watch the former; I also hope to catch sight of the meteors, but think that it occurs in the early morning rather than late at night.
Apart from tome light baking, I finished the quilt. Front then back showing on the photos. I hope the recipient likes it, it’s in her favourite colours.
Today is full on, with FAB cafe in the morning. Library book group in the next village in the early afternoon; I’ll take the opportunity to get some printer ink and go to the building society. Unfortunately, it’ll be in the height of the 35C heat. ☹️🥵
Keep safe, keep cool all of you. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
Later, I’ll get the bus to meet the family.

Good morning from Sheffield
The quilt is beautiful, I love the colour contrast .

I am working today, so will rise and go for a walk early.
I did nothing yesterday afternoon and although I feel rested my back aches from sitting too long. You can’t win can you.
I’ll be moving more today that’s for certain. I’ll be on my feet all day.
I have no special glasses for the eclipse so I’m not sure how I will view it, is there guidance somewhere?

Take care everyone flowers

melanie, there is advice on the bbc website. Basically, it’s making a pinhole camera, and viewing it remotely. Good luck.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a blue sky South Yorkshire. Yesterday I had a lovely walk around one of our country parks with a friend. It still being the school holidays I expected it to be more busy, but no. It was hot though and it will be nice to see some green grass when we eventually get some rain.

Today I have nothing much on the agenda except to go out and pick up a new kettle I ordered last night as my present one it leaking! I also have some paperwork to sort out.

Have the best day you can, folks.
