Last night when DH and I were out for a meal, DH was at the bar ordering when a man aged around 40, came over to my table and asked 'Are you dining alone?' I said 'no'. He said 'that's a pity' and gave me a lovely smile. I was very flattered and full of myself for the rest of the evening. Then this morning one of my neighbours, knowing it is my birthday soon asked, 'Is it your 70th?' I said 'no it bloody well isn't. I'm 66' shock grin

I was once called in by the consultant and I went in with my hubby, consultant really queried he had got the right patient as he really didn't believe my age. As it was a 'delicate' examination he was about to do (bum), he asked if I would prefer hubby to leave the room, I did!, but I did tell my hubby and all my friends and you lot, that the consultant thought I was so you g that hubby must have been my Dad!! Lol...well I think its funny.

My OH would have said, 'Did he have his white stick with him?'

I too was called for pre exam by the nurse at Liverpool Eye Hospital and she went back into her colleague saying I was the wrong person because I didnt look my age. A real confidence booster and we all had a good laugh. Liverpudllian nurses....

A friend turned up earlier who I told it was my birthday this week. He told me it was his soon and I asked how old he was (new friend so not got all his details yet, he's not filled the form in! grin). He said he was 42 and I said I was 52, but added that I don't look my age. wink He took one look at me and said "yeah you do!" shock Exit one new friend. grin

Bez I can second that, I had my heart operations in Liverpool. It put me on my path of nursing, wonderful. [heart emoji]

The doctor's receptionist queried (i.e. couldn't work out) my mother's date of birth when she had to fill in a form for emergency treatment - it is 1919. She still has a very firm voice and distinct copperplate handwriting. We had a little giggle about that.

KatyK I could do with a new hair system. I have RA and medications have played havoc with it.
Any recommendations gratefully received please ?
