Cutting the grass soop! We are still under water here. Snowed today as well. OH is going to Cawdor for the first outdoor shoot of the year (target only, nothing live) tomorrow, he is going to be cold. I shall have a nice lie in and a lazy day.

Being a Mum is a tough job - we deserve a day to be celebrated !!

I wont be seeing my youngest daughter and family because of the boys current chicken pox status and my eldest daughter came over yesterday with her 2 , and we had an early celebration .

Today Himself will be cooking a roast and waiting on me hand and foot ( that's something he doesn't know yet!!)

NanaandGrampy A perfect rose. Your message to us lot is much appreciated. We (us lot) should celebrate the fact that we all deserve to enjoy whatever it is that we choose to enjoy. For some it means a big bouquet, a hearty lunch, a family gathering. For others... a day without fuss or frills but of peace and contentment.

The very name Loch Rannoch and Rannoch Moor sends a tingle down my spine.

Well now...yesterday, a dog walker found a body in the burn that runs through our village. We walk the same walk. It is close to the bus stop and the kirk. It appears that a man (in his sixties) who was reclusive, must have lost his footing on Friday night. Lots of police activity and cordoning off took place throughout the day. No one knows for certain what may have happened. A sad way to lose one's life.

That is sad soop we must all count our blessings for family and friends and the fact that we are not lonely. It is a beautiful day here with lovely sun to cheer us up.
Roast beef and Yorkshire puddings later and I would guess a nice glass of red to go with it.
All is well with my world today.
Eye injection tomorrow,oh well.

That's so sad soop, to think that nobody seems to have realised that he was missing.

We go to Kinloch Rannoch at least once a year. We bought 2 weeks of the Timeshare lodges by the side of Loch Rannoch over 30 years ago. It is just so beautiful at any time of the year and in any weather. One of our weeks is at the end of October when the leaves are changing - it is so restful. We always go up to Rannoch Station and walk into Rannoch Moor which is so quiet and isolated. Our children love it there, and now the DGC do as well.

Sadly no Charleygirl the fluid is still there but I will hopefully get the results of the angiography I had done 2 weeks ago when I see the consultant tomorrow.

annsixty I suppose the only thing that one can say is that your eyesight has not deteriorated any more. AMD is a buggeration.

Birnam Wood has wonderful autumn colours. I used to drive around Perth and Angus a lot when I worked in Dundee and had my first car. It was quite peaceful on the roads in those days. Today - as Ann says, it's a lovely afternoon - BUT, I cannot bear to be away from the Davis Cup match which is proving a test of our Andy! He's getting a bit cross with himself and needs to get a grip. Mind you, he does look tired - wonder if baby Sophia is giving them sleepless nights.

anno Oh boy! The on-going agony of being an Andy fan. Talk about a test of gigantic tenacity...the match has been utterly brilliant and wretched within the space of a trip to the bathroom. Well over three hours of mind-numbing tension. I'm almost ready for a G&T.

Wow Badenkate what a beautiful view ! Im always a little envious of those who have such views as we are squidged between a road and a railway and although our little garden is overlooked it definitely doesn't have sweeping vistas !

I'm so sorry to hear the sad news soop. I think its a fear for everyone to just disappear unnoticed. What a sad end for the poor man.

Today , I am off to do a 'mystery shop' for a local coffee shop which is a favourite of mine. Its so unlike some of the bigger chains, being warm and friendly and the barista often stop to chat . One of things I have to report on today is the 'coffee art' ! Apparently Im going to be getting a swan .
