It certainly is anno one can't half feeling more cheerful on a lovely day.
I was very tardy this morning and the washing is not ready for going out yet I really must start getting up earlier.

I typed a nice long message and added a photo then BT upgraded my broadband and I lost it all. However, I now have 38mbps which is 7 times faster than before, at £4 extra a month.

The sun is now tempting me to go and clean the windows. Hope everyone else is enjoying the sun, could do with it being a bit warmer though.

Good morning to all our super Kitcheners. The sun is shining brightly. The islands look lovely. MacSporran took two photos from our garden yesterday. The air was that clear he managed to capture the image of Beinn Mohr on the island of Mull...approximately 50 miles north of here.

Tizliz losing a long message and a photo is almost certainly classified as a buggeration. Who was it that introduced us lot to that word?

I'm hoping to hear that the care home has reopened to visitors. I'm missing the ladies.

Here is the photo I lost. It is the new view from the garden - from cutting down trees not because the windows were so dirty!

Done all the outside windows and most of the inside - just waiting for the sun to move round. I use a Karcher which is not wonderful but is quick and easy.

Not really got anything else to do today as this is my second day in a row on my own at home and did everything else yesterday. only here to let the engineer in and that took all of 5 minutes.

annsixty hope all went well with the consultant today. OH has to see the skin consultant tomorrow but we are fairly sure it is going to be an all clear as the surgeon was 100% sure he got everything nasty out - big scar on his temple! But it is always a worry, and as you sit in the waiting room you start imagining everything that can go wrong.

I don't see him until this evening. Appt scheduled for 8:30pm but I usually see him earlier. This is because I see him at a private hospital but courtesy of the NHS.

Tizliz What is a Karcher? Is it something like a windscreen wiper thingy? MacSporran uses a wash leather. The salt deposit on our windows after high winds leaves a sticky film.
I hope that the consultant reassures your husband when he keeps his appointment.

soop a little vacuum type cleaner see www.kaercher.com/uk/home-garden/window-vac.html. You have to go slow or it streaks, not as wonderful as they make out put no polishing which I can't do as I cannot grip things very well.

Forgot, when it gets to spring we get loads of sap on the windows - a lovely sticky mess - because the trees in the field next door are too close.

These photos are fabulous but Tizliz I do not recognise that white stuff on the ground!

The gas man was here early today to cut off the gas from my hob and then kindly told me I have a small gas leak. The kitchen man comes tomorrow and the gas man is back on Wednesday when he will investigate further. It is not my hob- he thinks it is my gas boiler. Naturally the pipe work is outside and goes under the concrete in hall, living room and kitchen which would mean digging up ceramic tiles in the hall, laminate flooring in the lounge/dining room and cushion flooring in the kitchen. He will make the decision on Wednesday whether to cut off my gas supply or not, leaving me with an electric fire downstairs.

As you can imagine this has thrilled me to bits having paid for new double glazed windows throughout, 4 ceilings re-plastered, all painted, kitchen walls painted and the new kitchen being fitted tomorrow. Life is just great as you can imagine! Still, my kitchen will look fabulous.

Oh * Charleygirl* I feel your pain !!

That sounds awful !! And whats worse is - what if it IS the boiler ?? It never rains but it pours.

We're currently in the middle of a downstairs redecoration project which wont be finished till the end of April so I have real sympathy for you.

Poor you Charleygirl what a state you are going to be in.
That is why we are still living in the 1990's I can't face upset. Good luck with it all. Just going to get changed to go to the hospital. I will report later.

I do hope that all goes well annsixty. Look after yourself although I am aware that can be a bit difficult at home.

I am not sure whether I would have preferred to remain in blissful ignorance or be in my present state. I am not giving it a thought until early Wednesday morning.

At this rate I will also be on the tube begging! Not sure if people have followed another thread about begging on a tube or train. I am a firm believer that everybody should stand up for and look after themselves but I do realise also that attitude is pie in the sky.

Enjoy your evening all. Tara and I will have our usual early night I think as I am enjoying the book that I am reading. Murder yes but no serial killer for once.

Charleyg What to say...you really do seem to be in a bit of a pickle. I'm very sorry to hear about the leak. You certainly have had a basinful of stress to deal with. Your kitchen will be superb. Keep focused on the positive outcome.

NanaandGrampy Our daffodils are still in bud. Isn't it a treat to have a dash of gold in the garden.

Tizliz I shall take a look at the kaercher thingy. I have lost a lot of muscle power over the last five years. I cannot hold a full teapot and I also find it very tricky to lift a saucepan safely from the hob to the sink.

My pal phoned to say that the care home will be open to visitors in the morning. Good! I shall pop in to our kitchen for catch up after lunch.

charleygirl of course if you hadn't fitted double glazing the draughts in the house would have removed the gas and you would have been fine. (restrained myself from putting a ! after reading one of the other threads here ).

I actually don't have snow today - the photo was taken a couple of weeks ago. It was nice and sunny today but there is still snow on the hills. The hills that stopped me seeing the Northern Lights show last night. My friend who lives a mile away but on the other side of a ridge posted up some lovely photos.

soop really worried about my reading now, never noticed that there was an 'e' in Kaercher - Google had no trouble finding the site when I typed in Karcher. My hands were a bit sore afterwards but it was worth it, so much more sunshine in the living room. I always use oven gloves to pick up saucepans so I can use the small handle on the other side as well. My knuckle was so swollen yesterday I got my finger stuck in the wardrobe door handle.

I am back from the hospital, everything went very smoothly.
The consultant told me that the angiography showed
I still have a lot of fluid and I have a polyp behind the retina.
I am being referred to Professor Tariq Aslan who reads very well on Google to see if I can have PDT. I haven't googled that yet. In the meantime I am to continue with monthly injections.

annsixty My memory of photo dynamic therapy is that afterwards you are nursed in a totally darkened room but I cannot remember for how long. If it is likely to help, go for it.

Tizliz I was replacing the double glazing for A+ grade instead of the Z minus I appeared to have had installed when I first moved many years ago.

soop the person who designed the house must have lived on takeaways because for a 3 bedroom house the kitchen is very small.

My TV is not working this evening so Tara and I are going to bed.
