What time do you go to bed?

It's so dark at the moment I'm tucked up no later than 9:30, lights out at 10. Is this unnaturally early!? My OH told me he'd rather sleep when he's dead (he will happily watch sport/a film till the wee hours).

I drive my DH mad as I say I want to watch the news and promptly fall asleep on the sofa . After my "little nap" I usually start to go to bed around 11 but probably eventually climb into bed at 11.30 after taking contacts out, makeup off, coming back down stairs for a glass of water to take my meds , coming down again to ask DH to turn the sound down on the TV ( deaf as a post). No TV in the bedroom so read for about 5 mins and crash out ,only to be woken at about 1am by DH coming to bed .Just wish I could sleep later than 6.30 in the mornings .....

Reading through all these it seems that most of us on Gransnet are retired and it made me realise even more how lucky we are (most days at lease) to be able to go to bed when we like and more importantly get up when we like. We have the time to read that extra chapter when into a good book and enjoy a leisurely cup of tea in bed in the mornings (especially when husband gets it, which he has every day recently as I am still recovering from a hip replacement). I appreciate this even more when we stay with our daughter and grandson is awake between 5 and 6!
