Have you ever pressed "Send " and one nanosecond later wished you hadn't? Or "replied" when you meant to "forward" with a trenchant comment?
Or sent a late night PM which was meant to beabout a GN member, to that person instead?
I imagine there are quite a few of us who would welcome an "Oh sh*t" key on our laptop! grin

A "recall" button to get an email back before the damage is done? It could be called "Fetch"!

I once emailed DD1 telling her that DD2 had been dumped, that she was very upset and could she send her a nice email! I included DD2 in that email - she was very cross!!

Oops!

You're very good, soon, to check everything.

I have read through posts a couple of times before clicking 'post' only to find that someone else has beaten me to it and posted my wonderful, original idea a couple of minutes before me!

I replied to DD on a FB message only to realise that I had included her whole list - 'Reply All'.

How about an apology key?

A recall button is a very good idea.

I've discovered that on Gransnet, once you have typed your reply, you can 'refresh' the page and any new posts that have come while you were typing will then appear.
Another forum I use, tho, has the very useful function of warning you, when you press 'Post', if there has been another post and you can then see what it was.
I'm very surprised that GN is so basic in its working.

I assume it's cheap! It uses the same format as the Beeb used to use. Less to go wrong, very basic.

If you use Gmail for your emails you do get a 5 second chance to "undo" once you have pressed "send"
