Its not too warm in our neck of the woods so I've put together a chilli & rice for this afternoons menu,along with the usual meat pie's and sausage rolls.Is there any chance we can hire the games/tv room (when no football of course) and have a keep fit class "The Firemen" have agreed to come in and show us some of their tip's for keeping in shape it seems a shame not to use their expertise doesn't it ?

glam....I believe the "Firemen" hold regular keep fit classes in the cellar ....but feel free to use the snug any night you wish! It is very difficult finding a 'non-football' night.....until the end of May next year.
Enjoy your workouts....but remember to leave some nibbles in the games/tv room...

p.s. new stocks of crisps and nuts behind the bar some delivery guy said they fell off the back of a wagon but I surely don't know what he meant by that me being an honest scouser.

Seems that the barsteward is more interested in football (is it L/pool that he supports? ) than in running a busy bar.

New barstaff are needed and a 'Happy Hour' or two maybe, supposed to be selling drinks, not eating pie and chips in the games(?) room!

Ella and glamma have worn the firemen out, Pete, they're all shadows of their former selves - they can't even support their own helmets! I had to give one of them a Barmaid's Lift home the other night and I'm not even a barmaid....

Pity gramps isn't still around, I'm sure he'd be able to think of something. Or Lil. Where are all the Old Originals?

We could have a late night lock-in and come up with suggestions for a new bar-maid (person) and maybe some of the Firemen would want earn some extra cash,Ella and I can always interview them if need be ,I'm tired to-nite so off for some zzzz's see you all soon.

Last night's 'Lock in' has stretched to tonight....well...it's Bank Holiday !

My fingers..Ella have only ever been in glam's pies....and the Hollands steak puddings now and again........so not that many!!

Anthea is behind the bar tonight on a trial run.......she is a little slow...but don't tell her to "get your skates on"...and she will be fine.... I think

Evening all, I've been without computer access from Wednesday until yesterday, so what's been happening? (Apart from my being in shock at paying out £170 for a new hard drive and data transfer )

phoenix Ouch! External hard drive got dropped and won't blinking work. Have been quoted £150 for data recovery. Can't really remember what's on there besides heaps of music. Seeming as we can't remember, it's probably not worth it!
