I wish that Leonardo da Vinci would invent a gadget that would make amazon delivery men wait until I get to the door instead of making me play 'search the parcel' and then finding I can't lift it as it's too low down!

I would like to see something, which is probably possible already, which switches off any mobile phone inside a car whilst the engine is on. Equally something that swithes them off when the person carrying them walks into a theatre, cinema or restaurant!

I would like to see some kind of gadget that sets off a klaxon alarm whenever a dog, out walking with its owner, poops on the pavement. Then, if the owner of the dog doesn't pick up the mess and remove it, everyone would know who the offender was. I'm not sick of stepping in dog crap, oh no, not me.

Sunseeker, if only! I'm sure there is something like that, to do with shields or hmmmmm??? But wouldn't it be wonderful. Also a pointy gadget to silence all those interminable phone calls on trains and buses.

For one of my birthday when I was in my late forties, my son made me a poster listing all Da Vinci's achievements and well known drawings, for a gift, he printed it and had it laminated. So I must have been going on about him to my children

If he was around now perhaps he would be able to develop a car that sensed an impact and became temporarily airborne/changed into a flying machine, to avoid the crash.

I saw an exhibition of his engineering inventions and what impressed me was he invented ball bearings amongst other things. He was wihout doubt the greatest inventor and I suppose now he would be an IT man. Or working in space or both combined, who knows?

I think he'd be working on ways of living under the sea. He'd be planning huge undersea cities with areas joined by magnetic motion tube trains and power from some sort of generator powered by hydrogen extracted from the sea water. The by product of which would be oxygen which could be safely released into the atmosphere or collected for medical use or .....oops I'm off on one lol

Da Vinci was, indeed, amazing. There is a church in Venice which has an exhibition of working wooden machines made from Da Vinci's drawings.
