Following on from 'How many homes have you had?' How many English counties have you lived in ( if any)?

I have lived in 7.

Only English?

Leticia Tue 20-Oct-15 07:31:55

Yes- I did say 'if any'.
You can put how many places around the World or in UK if you want - I just thought that was a bit wide- I was narrowing it down.

Well in England, then, just the one.

kittylester Tue 20-Oct-15 07:49:26

Three and one Welsh one!

Notso Tue 20-Oct-15 07:52:28

Eight English counties.

cornergran Tue 20-Oct-15 07:54:54

Seven for me. Eight if I can include two spells in one county at different times.

Maggiemaybe Tue 20-Oct-15 08:05:45

Four.

Not sure how you compare London boroughs to counties, if you do? Maybe you don't - if not, two. Or five London boroughs and one proper county confused

Three counties and a city

Greater London
Essex
North Yorkshire
Leicestershire ( in chronological order )

Anniebach Tue 20-Oct-15 08:26:51

Not one

Andyf Tue 20-Oct-15 08:33:03

Just one.

I have always lived in Essex, although some places are now called London Boroughs.

Indinana Tue 20-Oct-15 08:41:01

Three - Greater London, Essex, Devon. I've lived in Devon longer than anywhere else, which I would never have imagined when I was younger. Still an Essex Girl at heart smile

shysal Tue 20-Oct-15 08:47:20

Always lived in Oxfordshire.

ginny Tue 20-Oct-15 08:54:01

3, Middlesex, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

feetlebaum Tue 20-Oct-15 09:08:24

1. Middlesex, which disappeared and became part of Greater London

2. Buckinghamshire, which later became Berkshire (or at least my bit did).

3. Cornwall - amazingly, it's still Cornwall.

As a child, (when in England) Hampshire, Bedfordshire, Yorkshire, Buckinghamshire and the Isle of Wight.

As an adult, Isle of Wight, Suffolk, Norfolk and now Cambridgeshire.

Nelliemoser Tue 20-Oct-15 09:25:07

Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Avon (Bristol). Yorkshire. Glamorgan (Cardiff), London Boroughs of Haringey and Redbridge. Cheshire.

Eight in all. (Where I have had a registered address or a tenancy.)

Nelliemoser Tue 20-Oct-15 09:28:34

Oops! Given the way boundaries have changes, I am now officially in Cheshire East, not Cheshire.

TerriBull Tue 20-Oct-15 09:30:30

Surrey, Greater London, Middlesex, as feetlebaum has already pointed out this county has now disappeared, West London. Our next move will be back into Surrey. I do love Dorset/Hampshire/Sussex though, would quite like to move a bit further south, but the gravitational pull of children and grandchildren....

joannapiano Tue 20-Oct-15 09:33:21

Outer London borough
Inner London borough
Outer London borough
Hertfordshire.

M0nica Tue 20-Oct-15 09:53:33

grumppa Tue 20-Oct-15 10:09:02

Four, and one Welsh.

Nonnie Tue 20-Oct-15 10:12:50

8 but more moves than that and 9 if you can count the same one twice as they are 50 years apart!
