Yesterday morning the ventilator keeping my beloved husband of almost 51 years, died.
He died on the golf course which I guess is a good way for him to go.
Although he was 75 last week, he was still within the range for organ donation. So his kidneys and liver will live on in someone I hope.
As an obstetrician he brought life into the world, and on his way out of this world, he gave back life.
That was a comfort.

He died when he was out doing something he enjoyed which is the best any one of us can hope for, but that doesn't make it easier for you.

So sorry to hear of the death of your dear husband Crow
My mum has been on dialysis for over a year now. She is too poorly (lots of other health problems) to be considered for transplant but it is heartbreaking to see some of the young people who's lives revolve around the dialysis unit. I do hope your DH's organs are given to someone (or perhaps a few people) to enable them to begin to have a life again Crow and I hope you are able to get a small amount of comfort knowing that.
