I was so looking forward to the new series of Endeavour because I really enjoyed the previous ones. I found last night's plot unbelievable, and since I'd forgotten what had happened in the last series to cause Morse to end up in prison I found it doubly confusing. I couldn't understand how Morse could be reinstated when he had a criminal record. Did anyone else see it, what did you think, and can you fill me in on the Morse/prison/reinstatement situation?

We were humming, 'She's Leaving Home' at the end.

Just watching Coda, double yellow lines in the sixties?? I don't think so.

Well, that was a plot and a half! Despite it being a bit ridiculous, I did enjoy it. I think that's down to the acting.

From Wikipedia;

Double yellow lines mean no waiting at any time, unless there are signs that specifically indicate seasonal restrictions.[2] They were first introduced in the UK by section 51[3] of the Road Traffic Act 1960[4] (repealed in 1972 and replaced by later legislation )

The Thursday's table cloth looked like the knitted bedspreads that were fashionable then.

Why did Sam go off to the Army without a coat, despite his dad's jacket being wet in the next shot?

Thank you Alea, I stand corrected. I thought they were introduced in 1972.
