Now I am really worried about the King and Queen’s visit tomorrow.

I can hardly believe so many posters unwilling to think this is real, that somehow this would be assassin was paid to run around with guns and knives😁
I can only think it’s because DT is so disliked.

I don’t know where you got that idea from🤷‍♀️
Only speaking for myself but I believe I hid my loathing of Trump quite well. 😂

Esmay Sun 26-Apr-26 20:03:21

I don't believe it .

I am amazed that there are older women who think that people being cynical about anything Trump puts out is surprising, given his track record. Healthy scepticism is a good thing.

imaround Sun 26-Apr-26 20:29:48

I don't recall anyone saying it was fake. It absolutely happened. The photos and videos are real. The guns and bullets are real. A real person was shot.

There is suspicion that it was staged, but that is because there hasn't been a single case that I can remember recently where the immediate narrative put out by Trump or his team that was not full of lies, not because we hate him. There will always be questions surrounding him, for the rest of history. The distrust that the world has for him is 100% because of his own actions, not because we are "haters".

Exactly so.

Oh I am not surprised in the slightest casdon, I knew exactly what the response would be.

I'm amazed a lot of the stuff some intelligent older women accept without questiom.

Liberated Iranian women ditching the hijab because T had freed them being one example. Like some sort of fairy story.

No idea what you’re talking about but it’s nothing to do with the assassination attempt.

The whole “event” is incredible, more full of holes than a sieve.

Surely, in the real world, only invited, VIP guests and security and the SS would have allow to stay in that hotel.

Nothing about this makes any sense whatsoever.

JenniferEccles Sun 26-Apr-26 22:25:37

Oreo, Thank you! Someone who can see the similarities between the ‘hoax’ cries on here and similar ridiculous claims in 2020 that Boris Johnson was not really seriously ill in hospital with Covid.

They were wrong then of course and as an American poster has confirmed, they are mistaken now.

A very scary experience indeed for everyone at the ceremony, and I am extremely relieved that nobody died.

My partner was watching Sky News and he said the Sky reporter said the security wasn’t very good.

I paid $2 for this article in hopes I could share a gift link. But I can't figure it out, so I took some screen shots. Note, these are just samples from the article and not the article in full.

This confirms my suspicion last night that security was not near tight enough for the entire line of succession to be in one room. I will look forward to seeing more information come out in the next couple of days to understand why the designation was not made before the event.

No one agrees with me, I know but at first glance, this looks like carefully planned chaos. Only time will tell when we see what happens to the teacher-of-the-month.

Have you seen video of The Salad Man ?

imaround Mon 27-Apr-26 04:46:05

I had to go and look for it. That is hilarious. I can imagine he is thinking, well, we're going to be here a whole, might as well eat a bite.

There was another video of a lady grabbing a champagne bottle off a table.

An article on the suspect. He doesn't seem to fit the narrative we were given.

Oh, I never thought of that aspect 😲

They need to Make America Safe Again

'Make America SANE Again'

Some hope. If Trump could try for a third term you can bet the Crown Jewels he'd get voted right back in again.

Lolly123 Mon 27-Apr-26 06:04:22

Cant beleave the number of people in the us that carry a gun but are really poor shots 😜

Sadgrandma Mon 27-Apr-26 06:28:09

After the assassination attempt on him Trump said he can’t think of a more dangerous occupation than his. What about the soldiers he sends to war or the security staff employed to protect him?

That’s really interesting, imaround. How reliable is this blogger?

AGAA4 Mon 27-Apr-26 08:17:13

The worrying thing about this is the very poor security for such an important gathering. Worrying because our king and queen will be in the US later today.
I think there are still a lot of questions around this event yesterday and the answers so far don't add up.

Maremia Mon 27-Apr-26 08:19:42

Has Trump's ear ever been properly medically examined?

Maremia Mon 27-Apr-26 08:20:57

The 'shooter' event apparently was on a different floor of the ballroom.
The security into the event was not breached.

I can only speak from our experience many years ago, we arrived with friends and some of our children to find our hotel surrounded by tanks and military personal.

To get through the front perimeter we had to show our booking details, passport, visa’s, etc. When we entered the hotel, all luggage had to go through a scanner, we had to pass through body scanners.

The hotel inside and out was awash with secret service personnel (all talking into their cuffs and wearing earpieces)

We were informed that there were several Heads of State^ and their entourages staying at the hotel for a high level conference in the nearby hotel.

We were surprised that we had not been informed or asked to transfer to another hotel. We had seen all the personalised 747’s lined up when we landed at the airport, and commented to each other.

It was fascinating when they left to watch a stream of helicopters taking them to the nearby airport.
