Rennee Good's family lawyers have now released the results of an independent autopsy, showing three gunshot wounds. She was fatally shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said at the time the agent opened fire after Good tried to ram officers with her vehicle.

The DHS has not yet published the outcome of its investigation. We await details of what legal action Good's family lawyers may take against DHS. This thread has been started as the previous thread comes towards its 1000 post end to discuss the aftermath, impact and repercussions.

Here is the court document from Minnesota asking for a TRO. We are getting to 10th Amendment territory.

This does not affect UK. America has gone rogue and GB needs to focus on there own safety

That’s a strange comment. What the US does today the UK dies tomorrow. This will be what Farage is planning for if/when he gets into government. His very own ICE troops. Just like he tried the DOGE thing on local government. You can see from posts on here that some will cheer him on.

I agree MaizieD
If the US sneezes we catch a cold.

I hope and pray that Minnesota can fight this, and set a precedent for other States.

‘does’, not ‘dies’ (though the typo may be strangely appropriate)

Badenoch has also indicated that she would have a British form of ICE.

The difference is -we assume- they would not be armed.

GB can focus on its own safety by watching what is happening in the US and by making sure that Trump supporting politicians are kept out of power.

TRO granted. The Gres have been instructed not to destroy evidence.

If the local police try to preserve the scene of any of these killings and ICE try to stop them, I can see a war breaking out between them.

This is dreadful.

I believe that Trump is spreading the action into other areas?

It’s so shocking and I really fear for the lives of all innocent US citizens living in America.

They WOULD be armed, just not with guns!

How very naive are you? All Trump is doing at the moment has an effect on countries outside of his own!

What exactly do you mean by that comment?

Oreo Sun 25-Jan-26 10:42:53

I was pondering on that too Eazybee 🤔zombie knives are quite fashionable.

Who would have thought that this could happen in America. It could happen here…this is why the thought of a Reform government terrifies me ( or even a Conservative government if it chooses to go further and further to the right because of Reform).

Oreo Sun 25-Jan-26 10:46:52

I don’t believe that for a minute Maybee70 we are not the USA and never will be.

Oreo Sun 25-Jan-26 10:49:22

Think about all the thousands of US citizens shot and killed by the police there every year, often for very low level crime like shoplifting if they run away, and many mistakes as in wrongful killings.

That is true Oreo, and with a nation where guns are owned by so many people this is a predictable outcome. But ICE are not recognised law enforcement officers working within the justice system to firstly obtain a warrant to barge into people’s homes or vehicles and seize the occupants.
They seem to be working above the law and as you say even dealing with ordinary law enforcement officers can result in mistakes.
Dealing with this type of thuggery is resulting in far too many costly mistakes.

ronib Sun 25-Jan-26 12:14:05

This might seem naive but if you don’t have the right documentation to work and live in the USA, now could be the best time to leave if you value your life. Isn’t that the hidden message behind ICE?
I think it’s a tragedy that well meaning people are caught up in this situation. There needs to be a safer way to protest but this is not the country which encourages citizens to interfere with the eviction of its unwanted people.

So if someone doesn’t have the right documentation they are not well meaning and could be shot and killed?
Wow!
That’s one way to deal with things but I thought we are talking about the US not Iran. Seems there’s not much between it really.

ronib Sun 25-Jan-26 13:03:57

Sorry I don’t understand your point fallingstar. What conditions, if any, would you have on people seeking entry to the USA? Or is it absolutely all welcome?
The other point is why do some citizens not respect the rules which an elected government puts in place? Even to the extent of loss of life - their own!
And I wish more people would talk about Iran ….

ronib Sun 25-Jan-26 13:05:57

Actually the well meaning I referred to are the people who have legal status but decide to become involved in politics. With devastating repercussions.

Tear gas...that's in answer to the GNs who asked about other weapons.

Or we could see if the water cannons bought by Boris were in fact scrapped.
They could be being used as a water feature somewhere.
