That is changing fast, China influences much more of the economy than you realize, it’s best not to forget that it is a communist dictatorship where there is no freedom of speech, if you don’t agree with party policy you get sent to a re-education camp.

I do not think Putin has anything on Trump. I think Trump admires Putin and want's to land grab like Putin. Trump has systematically surrounded himself with 'Yes Men and sycophants. Anyone who apposes him is beat down. No doubt he would like the Russian equivalent of Siberia to send any of his opposition to. Vance is there to step into Trumps shoes at the 1st opportunity. All three are the most odious men. An unholy trinity and the Anti Christ!
Putin will not negotiate with Zelensky. He doesn't want him at the table. I wonder what he is scared of. I have no doubt he thought he could walk all over him but the Ukrainian people admire and believe in Zelensky . Something that Putin could never achieve.

While we are charging headlong towards net zero China is producing solar panels and batteries using coal for power to sell to us. Producing EVs that undercut our and other countries production, the UK really does need to wake up.

We havn’t yet reached the point where the national debt is owed to China but several developing countries now cannot repay the China loans. It has even got South Africa in a strangle hold, it’s so easy to accept the money then see it all frittered away through corruption

There have been Ukrainian people living in the USA for centuries, far longer than Trumps family who are recent arrivals.

Over a million Americans are of Ukrainian descent. I hope they and others in the community show their strongest disapproval of this vindictive, petty move.

Even Trump is unlikely to believe that having accepted fleeing Ukrainians would make it more likely for Putin to invade the US, ronib. If he is considering plans for invasion, that won't be the deciding factor, there are plenty of other things that would be foremost in his mind.

Ronib not everything that Trump does is to appease Putin, rather a lot of it is pure nasty vindictiveness but I'm sure Putin won't worry about having a some more Ukrainian children, women and old folk to bomb.

Headline in the Washington Post : Americans don’t love Trump’s methods on Ukraine.
They have brought together a number of polls done by Reuters, The economist etc and basically say that although Americans want to see an end to the war in Ukraine, they are increasingly supportive of Ukraine, dislike Trump's dealings with Russia and are increasingly unhappy with the way Trump is handling things. We can only hope that public opinion has some effect!

People who arrived in the UK are on time/condition limited visas on the understanding its until peace returns/war over. (Some want to stay, but thats up to our own system to decide case by case.

But this is not the issue we are discussing here, the US is removing their right to asylum before any peace plans "forthwith" : its punitive and vicious

Some of them have built new lives, businesses, relationships.

There are people who see beauty in differences and others who see threats. Somehow we need to encourage the former and quash the lies that build the latter.

Some Ukrainians will want to go and help their country. Some Brits will want to go and help them rebuild too.

Keep an open mind. Closed-minded people seem to spend more time insisting others understand them than trying to understand others.
