It was good to see the happy couples getting married around the country today, and interesting to see that the ones on the news have been together for a long time. One couple I saw being interviewed yesterday said they had wanted a simple, quiet wedding but by booking it at a minute past midnight they had brought on themselves a mad dash from the media to talk about their view of the change in the law. Still, great to see progress smile

Thank you so much for your good wishes. No big honeymoon planned but the girls are off to Edinburgh for a few days - pandas, shopping, ghost walk etc!
Can't believe that those 2 beautiful dresses I looked after so carefully are hanging up in the same place but looking a bit grubby and slightly sorry for themselves.
Back to the real world for all of us but with a clutch of very happy memories and some lovely pic's. DS was 'best man' and his speech was excellent, DD1 chose and read a beautiful poem while DGC's were all I could have wished for.
The girls had such waves of love and support washing over them that I feel truly optimistic for their future. I'm so happy that they can look forward in a way that would have been utterly impossible just a few years ago!

To hear obviously!

ps. Hope your GS got a sporran full for being a good boy. grin

Agus since you're the only one to mention sporran full, I'm happy to tell you he acquired £5 or £6 of coins. It was quite a small sporran so quite full up. Am ashamed to say that his wee sister cottoned on and followed him around while clutching her (now empty) petal basket. She had a similar haul. I was totally unaware of this at the time but she was clearly irresistible!

Lovely to hear that mcem. Your DGD sounds like a wee charmer. She'll go far that girl grin

Hope you can put your feet up and relax now that all the excitement is over although I am sure it was worth all the preparation just seeing the happiness on your girls' faces. brew
