I'll groom Jessie when we get back
Then I will hit the sack

Then I will hit the sack
It's a job well done

Then I will hit the sack
It's a job well done
But sometimes not fun
I feel like I’m stretched on the rack

I drift on a long sweet slumber
I'd counted sheep without number

I drift on a long sweet slumber
I'd counted sheep without number.
But sleep eludes me

I'd counted sheep without number
But sleep eludes me
Get up and drink tea

I drift on a long sweet slumber
I’d counted sheep without number
But sleep eludes me
Get up and drink tea
Have a sandwich with cucumber

We'll be putting clocks forward soon
At eleven it will be noon
No need for an alarm
Wake up nice and calm
But the rooster is singing its tune!

Short nights are making me surly
But spring is coming
The bees are humming
Cute lambs being born, all curly

It's great to be outside in the spring
Picking flowers if that is your thing

It's great to be outside in spring
Picking flowers if that is your thing
Or a walk in the park

It's great to be outside in Spring
Picking flowers if that is your thing
Or a walk in the park
That would be a lark

It's great to be outside in Spring
Picking flowers if that is your thing
Or a walk in the park
That would be a lark
Bird watching and hearing them sing.

I might visit a stately home

Won't take husband or he will moan

I might visit a stately home
Won’t take husband or he will moan
I like to look round
And not feel I’m bound

I might visit a stately home
Won't take husband or he will moan
I like to look round
And not feel I'm bound
To study each statue and tome

The gardens are always a treat
