I am mildly puzzled about her forced resignation. Why, amongst all the corruption that's going on, did Trump choose to take a stand on this one?

Of course she should go, but did Trump decide this because she's not one of his family, or because she's a woman or ...?

I'm reminded of two other current cases - the only person in prison - and rightly in prison - due to involvement with Epstein is a woman.

And Michelle Mone seems highly deserving and whatever shit comes her way, but she was not the only one who enriched herself.

What's puzzling?

She's the former fiancee of Donald Trump Jnr (i.e. some previous personal family relationship history not likely to still be in family favour). She is the Ambassador to Greece (Trump often assigns jobs to family members and their partners).

KG allegedly asked a Trump donor to pay her hefty credit card bill. No suggestion the donor did pay her credit card bill as far as I am aware.

KG denies asking. Trump has asked her to resign as "she was doing a good job but we didn't like what we were hearing". No investigation as far as I'm aware.

Why does Trump decide to get rid of people? Because he does what he wants and seeks to remove people, often arbitrarily if they no longer please him or dance to his tune.

Not sure what Michelle Mone has to do with this issue 🤷‍♀️

Because it is now public, IMO. The GOP is headed down a short path career wise and elections are mere weeks away. They need a fall guy so they appear to be working "for the people". Now they can say, see, we took care of the corruption.

Just more proof that when they no longer have a use for you, they will discard you, even if you were in bed with a Trump previously.

Basically, Trump has little self-control, and is unable to separate personal from public life.

I completely agree.

Yet another fall guy in Trump's long list. If KG's departure has any impact on imminent mid term elections I hope it isn't in his favour.

Luckily, this won't affect midterms. Most people day to day don't have the faintest clue who the Ambassador to Greece is and our media doesn't seem to bother reporting this type of thing. I have to wonder what one can spend to rack up $100,000 on ones credit card.

Bet she knows a lot about the Trump outfit.

Maremia Fri 16-Oct-26 14:04:30

Hope she is ready to tell.

I can only suspect that someone whose feathers she ruffled had even better access to Trump and they wanted her punished for crossing them.

It is neither realistic nor evidence/fact-based to believe Trump genuinely has a problem with corruption. He pulled himself out of hundreds of millions in debt due to corruption. His family has earned billions directly due to corruption. He’s a convicted felon due to corruption.

If anyone believes she was truly fired for being corrupt, I have a bridge in London to sell you grin

Maremia

Hope she is ready to tell.

I fear for her life if she does...

DrWatson Sat 17-Oct-26 15:49:59

For BlessedArt and "corruption/bridge" . . .yayyyyyyy!

Maremia Sat 17-Oct-26 18:03:39

Not hoping for that MayBee70.

Maremia Sat 17-Oct-26 18:04:42

Heard it said she was fired for being 'caught'.

albertina Sat 17-Oct-26 18:38:13

Could be she is an attractive, intelligent woman who has rejected his advances. Nothing would surprise me about this weird man.

Gfplux Sun 18-Oct-26 07:10:34

Tell me Trump is not an agent of Putin and a traitor to his own country and NATO.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 18-Oct-26 10:29:14

I reckon she will be bought off by Trump, bribed to sign a NDA. The Trumps do far, far worse. I just hope thst they are brought to justice.
