One would go good dog rather than good boy.

My teacher called me a tart and a gypsy for getting my ears pierced, which was against school rules.

Imagine that now!

Crettons.

Cretins is not exactly slang.but highly offensive and inappropriate.
I think they’d be sacked for that now.

A cretin is an offensive term for someone regarded as stupid, foolish, or boorish. The word derives from the French crétin and was originally a medical term for people affected by congenital hypothyroidism, a condition that caused severe physical stunting and intellectual disability

What a very strange question. Would anyone be remotely interested in this topic?

My teachers didn’t use slang.

Same as sago and charleygirl. I don’t think our nuns would have known any slang. Half of them were French anyway.

None whatsoever, although we were always told we had brains like sieves.

Certainly none. They were mostly unmarried very respectable women who spoke totally correctly and corrected their pupils if they misused the English language.
