Good morning, it’s thankfully cooler at the moment, although it was still 22° at midnight when I couldn’t sleep.
Still no forecast for rain here in south Glos and the Met Office longer range forecast predicts further very hot spells well into September 😵💫
My SIL visited yesterday bearing gifts of food, probably enough to feed us for a fortnight! How very kind of her, it’s much appreciated. I have put some in the freezer and as she’s a great cook, I know it’ll be delicious!
I find myself just praying for cold weather now, breathing is difficult still ( although gradually improving) and it’s scary when you feel like you’re suffocating a bit.
Today I’m sorting out my sashiko threads, some need plaiting in the traditional way, labelling and storing so I know exactly what I have (too much !)
I’m sure I’ll find more bits to keep me busy as well as enjoying doing the stitching.
As lateDecember says:
Marydoll, my heart goes out to you. The combination of frustration and worry is palpable in your posts. When we say those marriage vows when we're young, it's probably a good thing that we don't know how they'll be tested in the years ahead or we might run for the hills!!
Never a truer word. Some of DH’s behaviours are definitely decidedly strange……something is going on but he refuses to go to the doctor and gets very arsey if I dare suggest it…..oh dear 🤷🏼♀️
