Merlot, your comment reminded me of something said many years ago. Queenie when a child was standing a distance away from a group of people and someone remarked she looked lonely, her father, the king, said she will always be alone . I know this is true.

My younger daughter , not in the financial position of the Windsors ?, but affluent, five bedrooms on suite , now has builders in to build an extension, boot room and a dressing room . Private health care, doesn’t have to work, holidays about four times a year . She cannot have a baby , has gone through IVF many times over twenty years . money is not the answer to everything.

What’s wrong with being angry about obscene wealth - any Labour supporter worth their salt should be angry about obscene wealth and privilege and all the more so when it’s completely unearned and based solely on whose vagina you came out of. Does anyone believe that money is the answer to everything - I don’t think so but it’s the answer to many things or a cushion to those problems that can’t be solved. Who was it that said I’ve been rich and miserable and poor and miserable, rich is better. Unremitting worries about money, especially the roof over your head, eat away at you, can destroy relationships, your mental health.

GrannyGravy, my daughter had several miscarriages, all were heartbreaking but one year she did a pregnancy test on the day advised by the clinic, it happened to be Mothering Sunday, she mailed me a shot of the test , positive, she miscarried but said to me ‘I was a mother this Mothering Sunday wasn’t I? ‘ that is heartache .

Not sure about Harry. Personally I don’t think the marriage will last...just a hunch but I wish them well. But I don’t think Kate is happy. In close-up she looks sad and strained. Perhaps a combination of not being queen bee any more now that Meghan’s arrived, and the sheer strain of being in the public gaze constantly.

I'm not interested in Harry nor Meghan. My interest (if any) stops at HM, Chas and Cami, William and his family and Zara and hers plus P Anne. Enough.

Megan will always have to walk behind Kate so Kate will always be queen bee, and one day queen consort and mother of the next monarch .

Envy is a terrible thing just because an ordinary person has made a success of their life does not justify slagging them off.
Not just Megan; Hamilton, Rooney, both Beckhams and all the others who have made it. In all those cases the decisions made as teenagers committing to whatever life path chosen.

Money can and does buy you out of all kinds of problems. Wasn't it Harry himself who said he had counselling following the tragic death of his mother (forgive me if I am wrong) . I wonder if he (or any of the royals) would be expected to wait 6 months or a year on an NHS waiting list for this? Anyone troubled with mental health issues (and I speak from experience) hasn't got a hope in hell waiting for NHS help. My own son had problems following the death of a father he barely even knew. My late grandma, my parents and I had to club together to buy him 6 sessions of counselling. He really should have had 26 but we couldn't afford it.

As for curtsying, it is not compulsory, some want to do it , I wouldn’t but accept some do.

Maybe his boiled egg wasn't quite as soft as he likes them that morning, or his shirt wasn't properly ironed. He must have so many minor irritations in his daily life, I really don't know how he copes. Poor bloke!!
