He has not been his usual smiley self in the news clips I've have seen over the last week or two, especially today on the balcony. Has anyone else thought the same?

I will never understand why some think if people have money they have no reason to be unhappy,

Grandma70s Wed 11-Jul-18 08:47:07

I don’t like war machines, so although I can see that flying planes in complex formations is clever the sight of them makes me feel slightly sick.

Oh, perhaps not the right thread....is Harry happy? We can’t possibly know. I hope so.

Good job those war machines were around during the Battle of Britain. hmm

It’s not just about having money Annie it’s about the entire lifestyle that these people enjoy. The best healthcare, the best housing, the best food, the best travel arrangements, the list of privileges is endless . Perhaps going to a job if work he hates, a 12 hour shift , worrying about paying the bills on minimum wage, etc might make him happier although I very much doubt it .

OldMeg Wed 11-Jul-18 08:50:50

Are you asking me to explain that Merlot?

In my experience, people who constantly make nasty remarks about people they don’t even know are pretty nasty themselves. Don’t you find that?

But then perhaps they do so because their own life has been somewhat disappointing.

OldMeg Wed 11-Jul-18 08:52:00

Actually they are often the same people who make nasty remarks about people they do know - usually behind their backs.

I wouldn't know, OldMeg. You've obviously met more than I have.

Don't worry about Harry he won't have changed much, he knows the score and is on friendly territory, save your concerns for Meghan.
She is a junior member of a very exclusive clan where every move, every gesture, every expression is scrutinized, she will make protocol mistakes, so let's hope those around her make allowances. It is not like being an actress where you are on screen for a few minutes at a time then relax and be yourself she has to live the role.
Of course materially she will want for nothing but we all know that money does not equal happiness it is up to Harry to give her love and confidence to make her happy, he knows all about the failings of his father and is very aware of his mothers tragedy.
Her resemblance to Wallis Simpson is unfortunate, that was a love match too, at least politics won't get in the way this time.

gillybob Wed 11-Jul-18 08:57:55

Having a negative opinion about the royals makes you nasty does it ? Oh I see .

So that must mean that having a warm glow about everything they say and do makes you a lovely person .

OldMeg Wed 11-Jul-18 08:58:15

What’s I with you Merlot? That’s a very, untypically childish post.

OldMeg Wed 11-Jul-18 08:58:47

What’s up with you....bloody predictive text!

OldMeg Wed 11-Jul-18 09:00:48

No Gilly you are entitled to your negative opinions, all of them, just as I am entitled to my opinion about such posts.

How odd that you think your opinion is fine but mine isn’t!

gillybob Wed 11-Jul-18 09:03:08

How odd * OldMeg* Where did I say that ?

gillybob Wed 11-Jul-18 09:03:30

Oops OldMeg smile

gillybob Wed 11-Jul-18 09:04:10

Glad to hear that I am entitled to my opinion. Thank you .

oldbatty Wed 11-Jul-18 09:05:26

I'd love to see Megs propped up in a bar with a bottle of lager.

OldMeg Wed 11-Jul-18 09:05:41

I wonder how on Earth I got that impression! ???

Anniebach Wed 11-Jul-18 09:05:49

I do not see Megan as the unsure woman married into a family where she is totaly dominated. She chooses her own clothes , her own designers, I think she knew exactly what life she would have as a Windsor. Perhaps she has a problem with not being centre stage when with the family, she certainly has loads of confidence making public appearances when just two of them.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 11-Jul-18 09:26:45

The only thing I noticed was that the Queen walked into the Abbey behind Charles and Camilla, I thought protocol was that the Queen was always in front.

BlueBelle Wed 11-Jul-18 09:31:58

Oh folks please give it a rest this had turned into such a disasterous and negative thread

merlotgran Wed 11-Jul-18 09:40:30

We wondered about that as well, GrannyGravy.

She did walk out in front of them though.

Gypsyqueen13 Wed 11-Jul-18 09:41:04

Goodness me, the heat is clearly getting to people this morning. The claws are definitely out today. I normally enjoy reading these posts but quite frankly have had my fill of nasty playground snipes from some of you today. I am not a frequent poster but wanted to post this today. At the risk of upsetting people - grow up! confused

sweetpea Wed 11-Jul-18 09:47:22

Couldn't agree more Gypsyqueen13.

Anniebach Wed 11-Jul-18 09:51:56

I think on entry queenie is last, on exit she is first .

Why do some want to control threads ?

Nanny123 Wed 11-Jul-18 09:53:13

I have actually thought exactly the same thing
