I’m so sorry ann hugely difficult situations. Yes, do please update us when you can, even if it’s jusr seeking a place to scream. It must be all the harder after a positive morning yesterday.

Beautiful Passion flower * grannyq*. Many congratulations to your littlest granddaughter, sounds a determined soul.

Wishing bertie well, kitty, that young man sure knows how to trigger worry in those who love him.

Welcome to your new home fennel. It will soon be sorted.

Congratulations to your daughter callgirl, she’s allowed to be oh so tired

Ouch galen: that must smart. Dangerous things, kindles, please be careful, no more injuries.

Pleased grampy is recovering n&g*, maybe some enforced rest? jackson clearly has it all sussed, that’s the way to go grin.

You’ve not been feeling good charley, heres hoping tomorrrow looks better and yes, please eat. (Not a nag, merely a reminder)

Well, I’m with kitty, please everyone slow down. So hard to keep up.

Good night to you all and apologies to anyone I missed, don’t mean to be rude.

Annsixty sending my thoughts and positive vibes for what I hope is not a serious situation.
With all objectivity, this can’t go on.

When I say “serious” you know I mean even more serious.

Hope you get sorted soon Ann x

Thinking of you Ann hope help arrives ASAP, what sad situation you’re facing x
kitty I hadn’t realised your Bertie is poorly again, a worry for you all. I seem to recall it was asthma? It does seem to be a bad year for it, mine has been much more troublesome than usual and 2 daughters with asthma say the same.
callgirl your daughter deserves a medal running in these temperatures!

MawBroon Mon 25-Jun-18 07:18:59

I don’t usually venture into the kitchen this early (in case someone may be resting their eyes sshh ) but will leave you some croissants by way of a peace offering ? ?
I was just hoping there might be some better news from Annsixty
Thinking of you Ann.

aggie Mon 25-Jun-18 07:28:07

Thinking about you Ann , I hope you are ok xxx

Panache Mon 25-Jun-18 08:23:02

Reading the latest news here is most upsetting and I can but simply add my few words to your voice of utter despair ann......the situation simply goes from bad to worse and none of us have any magic recipes to make things better .Just know our hearts reach out to you and I pray for some much needed respite and peace of mind for you.

Hopefully little Bertie is feeling better Kitty this weather we all keep talking about sadly brings many problems and sometimes more than any real pleasure.
We started off on a little coastal stroll yesterday afternoon,we certainly did not get very far,we both have COPD.......although mine is now classed upper grade asthma......however there was but only one place for us both yesterday...........and we retreated sharply to a darkened peaceful room at home.

Feeling rather somber after reading how much Ann is suffering so I think it best to simply wish you all a safe and pleasant Monday.............trusting the news improves slightly when next we hear.

annsixty Mon 25-Jun-18 08:27:12

Thank you so much.
We arrived home at 5:40am after a fraught night in A&E with a clean bill of health.
The paramedics insisted on him going after hearing he is on apixaban. He had a CT scan , bloods, ECG and the works.
No reason for his two falls but he is worse "on his feet" now and his legs are weak.
I expect more falls will result.
I am shattered, two hours sleep is certainly not enough.
The behaviour of some had to be seen to be believed.

MawBroon Mon 25-Jun-18 08:31:33

Does he have a walking frame in the house Ann?
Paw wasn’t keen, preferring sticks, but in the end gave in and had one upstairs and one downstairs, my job to make sure each was in the right place when he needed it.
I really feel for you and hope and pray you can have some more support - not least today so that you can get some rest.
Oh the sad and frightening memories this brings back, I just wish I was nearer and could be some practical help. flowers

kittylester Mon 25-Jun-18 08:49:23

I didn't get back to the kitchen yesterday so am shocked to read about ann's problems

Glad you are home but I can't help feeling that you can't go on like this. You need to take care of you and this must be a huge cause of anxiety for you. To say nothing of the lack of sleep. I wish we could help more.

Bellanonna Mon 25-Jun-18 08:54:19

Yes I agree with earlier comments that I feel that ann you can't go on like this. Meanwhile I’m glad the tests showed nothing abnormal but I’m really worried about you.

NanaandGrampy Mon 25-Jun-18 09:15:58

Just an early pop in and horrified to hear that things suddenly got even worse Ann . I'm glad you're home. What is to be done now? Do you have an idea of what could be done for the best for you both?

Sending you a huge hugxx

Back later

Greyduster Mon 25-Jun-18 09:26:29

Ann I can only echo what others have said. This is a desperate situation for you to be in that will continue to take a huge toll on you. I would not know what to do for the best.

grannyqueenie Mon 25-Jun-18 09:32:48

Like others just popped in to look for news of Ann, I’m so sorry to read of the night you’ve had and concerned about how you’ll get through today and the days ahead. x

Panache Mon 25-Jun-18 09:38:26

Thank you for updating us Ann whilst good news that there were no further additional problems to your H,but how I feel for you there, obviousely tottering with the lack of sleep and such an overdose of stress.
I can but send much love and assure you that you are uppermost in our thoughts. [florals]

kittylester Mon 25-Jun-18 10:06:15

Mum used to forget what her walking frame was for as the dementia became worse. A huge worry as she could hardly walk with it and not at all without it!! We hung all sorts of gaudy toys and ribbons on it which worked for a while but may be not for Ann's DH.

brew and wine ann. If your DH doesn't know whether it is day or night I see no reason why you should stick to the normal rules!

annodomini Mon 25-Jun-18 10:20:11

ann, I'm so sad for you. All the benefit of his period of respite has been undone. This can't go on. Have you told your SW about last night's shenanigans? Wish there was something I could do for you. xxx

annsixty Mon 25-Jun-18 10:41:46

I am waiting for the SW to ring me back.I
I am waiting for the M H team to ring me back.
I am currently hanging on to dsadvisory AgeUK, I am in a queue.

Charleygirl Mon 25-Jun-18 10:42:11

Pleased to hear that H did not injure himself but you cannot go on like this with the stress and and lack of sleep. You are no longer 29.

All of my petty problems fade into significance when I read about what you have had to endure.

I agree with "anno" you must let the SW know and let them take some responsibility.

soop Mon 25-Jun-18 13:22:25

Such a lot has happened since I last called into the kitchen. In fact, I am doubtful that I shall catch up before I'm due to go elsewhere.

annsixty I am seriously concerned for you and your state of health. PLEASE may someone who can HELP and make a positive difference to this on going crisis do so, SOON.

fennel I'm delighted on your behalf.

I wish that I had more time to spare, as I hate to possibly overlook something that is causing any one of you lot to feel anxious.

When I'm back on track, I shall return for catch up.

kitty Sending good vibes for Bertie.

granniequeenie I love the photo. We had a beauty that grew to an enormous size when we lived in Cornwall.

callgirl! Three cheers for you lovely daughter.

Izabella Mon 25-Jun-18 14:25:41

Haven't been here for a while but saddened that you Annesixty are still having to battle for on with what appears to be very little support. You are in my thoughts even if there is little I can do.

My annulis horibalis appears to have ended but that's far too complex to enter into and I have no wish to go into it. I only hope that so many others who are struggling can find the help/peace/solace/help/strength and so on required.

I may pop back now and again. And Soop that lovely picture is safe in my new home!!!

soop Mon 25-Jun-18 15:10:37

Izabella Thank you. flowers

annsixty Mon 25-Jun-18 16:04:06

Well I am sure you are not surprised that I am still waiting for the SW to return my call.
I am still naive enough to believe the MH team will ring after 4pm as promised.
I had a long talk with an advisor from Age UK who told me I am fully entitled to half my H's occupational pension in spite of what the SW told me and it is all explained in Factsheet39 published by them.
This makes me less worried about finances than I was when the inevitable arrives.
I won't be on holiday every month but I will be able to keep a roof over my head.
I can't do battle with the SW today , I am far too tired but tomorrow is another day.

MawBroon Mon 25-Jun-18 16:14:53

I think I might have hinted before now that SS can be bullies when it comes to finances so you may need all the support you can muster to stand up for your own interests.
In the meantime I hope you can get some rest (how?) and keep up your strength.
