Terrible company which takes water from poor villages in Pakistan and then sells it back to them. Not only the poor, does the same in California where there is drought. Also treat some of their staff appallingly.
Gosh! I've never heard about any of that. Well...it's certainly opened my eyes about what these companies get up to. Fancy selling water back... (shakes head)
Ah the blessed Hotel Chocolate is for Xmas Day - so in the run up I thought a few QS would be nice - just a pochette (1) not a whole tin - DH takes nothing into the body that has no business being there.
I know we don’t buy it anymore so disappointed. Yep it’s hotel chocolat, got to have a good choccy fix. Though I did get some chocs in Lidl last year and they were lovely so got some this year too.
We gave up all the 'big tub' (not so big these days ) buying of chocolate quite a few years ago. We now just buy smaller quantities of much nicer ones ( think the seashell ones and lindt !)
Sorry ann didn't mean to spoil the fun just every time I hear anything about them I do tend to rant! I know so much about them and I suppose just want everyone else to join me in by boycott because I feel so passionate about it.
Wot? No green triangles? Right, that's it - I'm off to the Ambassadors Cocktail Reception to snaffle as many Ferraro Rocher as I can cram into my handbag!
Well now I'm remembering the cracknell one that was in red paper and you took off the paper to look through it and all the aunties and uncles were red!
Chocolates aren't what they used to be. Who remembers the bars of Milk Tray Chocolates from days gone by? They had 8 centres - strawberry, hazelnut, Turkish delight and soft caramel, amongst other they were a real treat at the cinema.
Oh yes anitampl I remember those, they were lovely. I used to like the tins or Quality Street and Roses as I used the tins for storing home baked cakes and biscuits. You can hardly get anything into the plastic tubs they produce now.
