Dogs licking, face definitely no, as really don't like it, however boss's dog will try to slip in a sly lick of my hand when I'm changing my boots ready to take her for her walk!

When it comes to cat's, unless you are monitoring their activities 24/7, you would be best to assume that they have wandered where you might not want them to.

As for other stuff, shopping bags on worktops, just wipe the surfaces down, and as said before, who on earth prepares food directly on the surface anyway?

Actually this will make some of you reach for the sick bag! When I was 16 my parents and brothers went on holiday and I was allowed to stay at home. My boyfriend's little sister Mary had to stay with me though and it turned out she had Athlete's Foot (didn't know this at the time). She used to take her socks off and let our dog Sam lick her feet. It gave her relief from the itchiness, but Sam loved it so much it made him randy and he would hump anything he could afterwards. I had to put him in the garden until he had cooled down. Mary and I thought it was hilarious! I was a young 16yr old!

It must be the smell.
DD used to have a little friend whose house was rather smelly hence the children smelt too and our dog used to love humping her leg.

Yuk (or a word rhyming with that) is what I said when I put my feet in my furry slippers and found the cat had done a poo in one of them.

Don't remember it curing the Althete's Foot, but he did like my little brother's sweaty feet. Didn't make him randy though (the dog I mean)!

I used to have to peel our dog off the little girl's leg, he used to wrap himself round her!

My daughter used to have her dog in bed with her. Once, she ended up with the dog, and my grandson, then aged about three. She told my grandson off for picking his nose, and said "what bothers me is what you've done with it!"
Grandson replied "its ok, I wiped it on the dog".

As I have no TV I hadn’t realised that the makers of Dettol et al have brained-washed most of the population to believe that EVERYTHING is covered with deadly germs and must be sprayed with nasty chemicals constantly.
This is nonsense and must be far more hazardous than contact with everyday dirt and microbes.
It’s been known for years that children exposed to animals have much lower rates of asthma and allergies.
Remember that your granny said we have to eat a pinch of dirt before we die.

I love my kids and grandkids BUT even their dirty nappies made me boak,and having to pick up dog poo has stopped me getting a dog.Our cat wont use his litter tray ...which means getting up in the night to let him out and back in.I'd rather do that than have a mucky tray to get up to in the morning
