Regarding picking up dog poo: Picking up your own dog poo is ok believe it or not. Picking up COLD dog poo - therefore not your dogs - is definitely YUK!!
The thought of eating snails makes me think YUK!!

Oh, yes, those cooks you see on TV who place the food on the plates and fiddle about to make it look artistic (or something) and who are not wearing gloves? Why aren't they?

Hair in the plug hole makes me heave. (Luckily our DDs with their long hair have left home so it never happens now).

Using work surfaces for preparing food would would result in very badly cut, scratched, damaged work surfaces. I use glass and plastic boards, however I do get the point, pets are very unhiegenic.
I go yuk seeing children with snotty noses eating all types of food while sitting in buggies, it is all going in the mouth at the same time.

I must confess that I love putting an unwound metal coat hanger down the plug hole, twisting it around and pulling out a load of gunged up hair! Disgusting I know

Yuk, feel a bit queasy now

What a queasy lot you all are! I have been a cat and dog owner all my life, I don´t let my dog lick my face as a rule, don´t like it, but I´m not saying that he´s not had the odd lick. Dogs are like that. My cat used to jump up on the kitchen counters, cats are naturally inquisitive, he had to have one leg amputated because of cancer and now can´t get up anymore, but I didn´t find it too upsetting, I just put him down every time. Like most people, I use chopping boards for preparing food. Children do eat their snot, whether it upsets you or not, they will eventually stop. I eat snails and love them. There is very little that makes me go "yuck" and I very rarely get ill. My own personal gripe is cloth handkerchiefs, absolutely disgusting, people shaking them out in public and reusing them time and time again. And, as a European, people walking into my living room in their outdoor shoes.

Anyone on a cooking programme that dips a spoon into their cooking to taste , then puts in back in the pan makes me feels very queasy indeed.

Rotten frozen savoy cabbage. The smell was absolutely dreadful. Had been left in the shed, happened about30 years ago.

What makes me go yuk and makes me feel sick is when someone gets out a tissues and has a good blow of their nose at a dinner table. That will put me right off eating.

People changing babies' nappies on picnic tables at country parks; handbags on tables in restaurants after their owners have probably put them on the floor in the ladies' loo; toilet rolls in public loos - prefer those sheets that you pull out of a receptacle as you don't know what the last user had on their hands when they pulled down the roll to tear sheets off!; people not washing their hands post loo; I could go on........

Vomiting on TV! It seems, in almost every episode of one show or another someone vomits. Cannot understand why it has to actually be shown in graphic detail!

Watching someone lick and replace spoons into the condiment jars placed placed on a table in a restaurant - never touch serve yourself salad bars etc.. Always try to wear gloves especially when using public transport or pushing supermarket trolleys.

I love dogs. Enjoy having them around the place. Enjoy their company but .... can’t stand them licking faces. DD1 has two spaniels who are trained not to lick, come and stay with us often and I love them to bits, but - the last time we went to see them their very aged cat had pooed (she uses an incontinence pad instead of a litter tray), I noticed it, took the cups I was carrying into the kitchen and by the time I got back it had gone! One of those horrible hounds had eaten it! Double treble yuk!! (Cat is on her last legs and is probably not digesting most of her food - but that doesn’t help!)

To be honest, not a lot makes me go 'yuk' - I'm with polyester57. I actually think that one of the reasons I'm rarely ill is because I've filled myself with plenty of antibodies over the years. Living on a farm with chickens, dogs and other animals bodily fluids don't worry me, nor does plucking, scaling, gutting animals worry me. I think we live a very over - sanitised world. My son claims that the reason he never had any allergies is because he became resistant to all the usual germs at a young age.

People, especially old people, kissing babies and toddlers on the lips.

Walking around the house in shoes.Makes me cringe.

I don't think anything does. What I have to do regularly probably would have many of you going yuk....hahaha. I live on a narrow boat and have to dispose of my own waste by emptying the cassette. I do use half a bottle of Disinfectant to make sure it is thoroughly clean after many rinses.
