"The Silent Majority are simply going about their own business, seeing what is going on in their lives and surroundings with regard to their everyday living and making decisions for themselves. " In other words they only think of themselves ,cant imagine they would ever be in the same position of people who are on benefits, because of sickness they didn't ask for or because they had a good family life then lost their job...they are the people the tories hit hardest the women ,mainly, who the 3rd child benefit withdrawal (rape clause) will hit.The I'm all right jack brigade just dont care !1
But how do you know if some of the Silent Majority have been on benefits or not, have been sick and had to leave a career before retirement, have had a third child or fourth? They don't think 'I'm All Right Jack' but do have plenty of common sense, are compassionate to those truly in need, can think for themselves but are not vociferous?
In other words, silent but thinking and not just of themselves.
