Ruby, are you OK? Haven't seen you posting recently.

Joining in with everyone else in welcoming you back Ruby. No advice whatsoever on talking things over with your son, sometimes the right time seems to present itself. Just take it easy for a while.

Hello everyone! My absence is mostly down to being (sort of) fit and active again, after the hip and knee operations through which you were all so supportive, and travelling a lot. (Been to Australia, Singapore, on the Queen Mary for my 70th) Also doing a lot extra for Rotary down here - we're off to Rwanda soon to investigate a farming project there.

But no excuse for desertion - though a little PM unpleasantness did throw me slightly. That was then, this is now.

Then I think I felt a bit tentative about suddenly reappearing, so when someone told me about this thread, it was a perfect opportunity just to drop in. So thank you!

Now, of course, I must trawl through the threads and find out what you've all been up to....smile

Had a bit of a word, in passing, with my son, and he said that if he should have to notify you all of anything wrong with me, he will come on here as Rubyson and let you all know. The chat was over in 20 seconds, done and dusted and, as we have always been very open, not a problem at all.

Glad you see you back too Ariadne flowers.

Now, off to Dunelm for more towels. . .

Hi Ruby - glad to hear that someone else is shopping for towels! I had to buy more new ones for my mum - I think the carers are using fresh ones every day ?still, it's good to know that mum is being treated to a shower each day, she will love that❤️

It sounds as if your son took your chat in his stride - you know him best so, as you say - all done and dusted?

Managing to get some sleep these nights - not so many disturbances - but I do try to stay off the very addictive g/n if I wake or I'll never get back to sleep?
Husband is over the itching etc.... and almost back to normal? well - normal for him anyway ??

Stay in touch - lots of us have been through the empty nesting syndrome and can help if needed ?
