Wonderful Cities of the World

Rome I think is my favourite but I often think I could live in Paris, love Amsterdam too.

Would like to go to Stockholm/Copenhagen so they might become the favoutite.

I'm not a globe trotter but I have really liked all the city's I've visited. I love the bustle, the cathedrals, the buildings, the history,the parks and the people. I couldn't live in a big city but a short stay is wonderful there's so much to see and do.If I had to pick it'd be New York, Rome, Athens,Cologne, London, Newcastle, Durham and lovely Liverpool. Yes Amsterdam too. Not in any particular order.

Oh I forgot Bruges is lovely and full of chocolate shops!

SanFrancisco, Paris and Florence.

Really enjoy visiting cities, maybe because we live in a rural area. London is wonderful for wandering around. Krackow is beautiful, Moscow too. Love the bustle of New York, San Fransisco and Paris.

Do not like Brussels but I love Paris. Copenhagen is interesting as long as you learn to dodge the armies of bikes as you cross the road . Always wanted to go to Rome.

I love any city with a river or the sea. I grew up in London but it is so rammed full of people now what ever time of year.

Old Portsmouth, Salisbury, Sherbourne, Chester , Bath, Bristol, York and Stratford.on Avon (not a city) Lots of fabulous cities here.

Florence was lovely. Paris too. Here at home, York, Leeds, Cambridge, Edinburgh, to name just a few.

I am not a city lover but was impressed by Bangkok. The Grand Palace is fabulous.

God. They all seem to merge!

Vienna was boring.

I like a river too. The Europeans know how to light a bridge up at night. There was one with a really high bridge. Lighting was breath taking. Might have been Porto.

Then there is the one with the incredible John Lennon wall. Prague? Was mesmerising.

They know how to do cake shops in Europe! (Except Vienna. Was all bread there)

I hope the OP did the red light district at night. You haven't experienced Amsterdam without it.

Sorry if I sounded a bit excited there. I do love a good foreign city.

Roll on October. Seville coming up!

Love London-every time I go I find a new area I haven't seen before. Did the Inns of Court and Greenwich on my last visit. I love Venice because you can walk everywhere, of course I get lost all the time.

I would like to go to Moscow. Want to go after Christmas and have a second Christmas. Wish Mr Putin was a bit friendlier though.

Valencia is one of the best. And the MacDonalds is in a really pretty bit with lovely flower beds. Near the cathedral. (Sometimes you do crave ordinary food )

Going to Manchester pre Christmas (on an aeroplane) Looking forward to that.

St.Petersburg and Oxford..

Seville for me. The old city has a surprise round every corner. The sight of the Cathedral tower (which started life as a minaret) floodlit against a deep blue night sky lives in my memory. There are musicians playing Sevillanas on the streets. The Alcazar and its grounds are beautiful - we were admitted free on a Sunday. The one time it rained, we found a cosy bar with tapas and lots of men watching a grand prix!
If you cross the river to Triana, there's a plethora of pottery shops - I had to drag my sister out of them!

I also adore Granada, Venice, Rome, Paris, Edinburgh, but the one I'd go back to tomorrow is still Seville.

When I was younger I made a list of cities I would like to visit, and amazingly I have been lucky enough to visit nearly all of them. Favourites are Paris, Venice, Sydney and San Francisco.
I also love Plymouth as I was born there. And I love visiting London.

Venice is my favourite but I also love Seville and Madrid. Oh and New York. Also my home city, Birmingham

Nice, Barcelona, Rio, Delhi, Lagos (interesting but scary) Amsterdam, Munich

At home, Oxford, London, Glasgow, Bristol, Bath

Kraków, Saigon, Bruges, and, closer to home, Durham and Newcastle.

Rome because it is so fascinating and so easy to get around, Madrid for art galleries and history, and Miami!

Glasgow, Venice and Hong Kong

During my working life I visited many cities, but for interest it's had to beat Chester and Edinburgh, only had a short visit to Edinburgh, hope to visit again. There are so many UK towns that warrant a short visit, got a lot more to go yet.
