HM , Duchesses of Cornwall and Cambridge all looked lovely at the birthday service just now, but wondered what Eugene and Beatrice wore. I did catch sight of a playing card type outfit . I only caught the end of the broadcast.

Well, I won't be celebrating it either, but that doesn't mean I couldn't care less.

Me neither, but we have already had a street party here for the longest reign.

Must open the bubbly tonight and say 'Cheers Your Majesty and thank you for all the stability you have brought to the UK'.

My word, 6,500 responses, everyone else must have been busy getting the cream teas ready.
And all the crowds in the Mall are over from Japan - that must be good for the country's economy!

Nothing but an expensive London tourist attract for the Japanese now.

I have never seen so many Japanese people all together in one place outside Japan hmm

I agree, the York girls don't look at their best but Sophie Wessex and Kate know how to dress and what suits them, and the occasion. I won't be celebrating but enjoy watching them all on TV...I need to get a life!

I think Beatrice and Eugenie are lovely girls with sweet personalities and it's unfair to criticise their personal appearances which they can't do anything about. Having said that, i think that Beatrice's dress was wearing her today, not the other way round. They need to see a personal shopper before they buy anything, and not one who is trying to sell them something!

Phoebes Sat 11-Jun-16 18:51:10

Oh, Wilma, Prince Edward's daughter is only 12 and was wearing a blue cardigan over a blue summer dress, blue, not pink - you must have got her mixed up with someone else.

annsixty Sat 11-Jun-16 19:15:51

Edward's daughter had a very traumatic birth as I remember and has lasting problems. I think she is lovely.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 11-Jun-16 19:17:02

The coat (Edward's daughter's) was pink. I think her outfit was too sophisticated for a child of that age. And it was too short.

Is it just me but I always think Princess Anne looks as old as her mother and if anyone is horsey it's her for sure. So old fashioned, whereas the Queen looks so modern and delightful in her outfits. I agree that today the green wasn't as nice as yesterdays outfit but wondered if it was to make sure she could be seen clearly.

Sheilasue Sat 11-Jun-16 20:02:46

Think she takes after her mum E Fergie taste was awful.

Phoebes grin very apt - I have heard that before, I think my MIL used to say it!!

However, I do think they are lovely girls, Beatrice in particular has lost a lot of weight and both could look elegant if they wore the right clothes. Perhaps their mother advises them, in which case they should ignore her.

Princess Anne won't care what anyone thinks, she is very comfortable in her own skin as the saying goes. Anyway, she was wearing uniform earlier which means she will not be subject to comparison with the other royals.
Apparently she wore an 'old' outfit later in the day. Good for her!

Linsco56 Sat 11-Jun-16 20:07:03

I think you're correct annsixty I seem to remember she was born prematurely and delivered by C-section. I know she had corrective eye surgery a couple of years ago.

Jalima Sat 11-Jun-16 20:08:14

I think it was a 'blue light' birth - ambulance rushing to the hospital.
She looks like a lovely girl.

Linsco56 Sat 11-Jun-16 20:25:34

nancan I agree that Princess Anne could do with a little make-over but she has the features she was born with and some people don't age as well as others. She did look lovely on her wedding day (1st wedding that is!)

merlotgran Sat 11-Jun-16 20:35:44

That wasn't what she wore on her wedding day though. Maybe it was a state occasion?

Jalima Sat 11-Jun-16 20:40:02

That's Mark just behind her in uniform.
But she wore a high-necked dress for her (first) wedding.

Linsco56 Sat 11-Jun-16 20:41:13

Hmmm...you're right merlotgran her wedding dress was high knecked wasn't it?

Linsco56 Sat 11-Jun-16 20:41:45

Meant necked not knecked!

Jalima Sat 11-Jun-16 20:42:51

merlotgran Sat 11-Jun-16 20:46:41

Linsco56 Sat 11-Jun-16 20:48:17

Linsco56 Sat 11-Jun-16 20:49:06
