Poo on slippers

If you had worn a pair of nearly new Marks and Sparks slippers to DD's house, gone out in the garden and got some sort of animal poo on the heel of one of them, would you endeavour to clean it off, or throw them away and buy a new pair, without telling DH?

They are currently tied up tightly in a Sainsburys bag in the corner of my shed. They have been there since Sunday.

I did notice it before I went in DD's house btw. (phew!)

lizzypopbottle big garden, big dogs, they like being out there all day when it is warm enough. But I walk round a couple of times a day to pick up.

When I go away walking long distance footpaths I take two pairs of footwear: walking boots, and a pair of lightweight shoes for indoors and evenings. One day I trod in some dog mess on the way to the pub for dinner, so I had no choice but to wash my shoes in the basin at the B&B and then pack them in my rucsac the following morning.

On another occasion some kids thought it was fun to scatter garlic cloves all over the pavement. Mmm lovely, garlic scented luggage......

Oh for goodness sake. Clean them! I keep an outside brush and co for these situations. No cross contamination, no one dies. Not yet, anyway.
