Soontobe has made a point that there should be more diversity on GN.
What do others think?
It is a tricky one because first of all GN is open to all who choose to contribute, but obviously self-selecting to a degree just by the site name and target group.
It is also hard to establish the degree of diversity among members as we retain anonymity and are under no obligation to reveal or even refer to ethnic background, religious affiliation, physical or any other disability, political inclination ( well some people are very clear on that, but not necessarily all) education, age, colour or shoe size.
So who's to say?
Does it really matter?
tchconfused

<hanging head in shame> Saw the title of this thread and immediately thought it was about Diversity the dance group led by the very talented Mr Ashley Banjo. I blame being tired.

rosequartz Sun 13-Dec-15 14:16:58

and Geog can you find your way home again if you go out annie?

That's all that matters really in the scheme of things grin

granjura Sun 13-Dec-15 14:18:02

lol, bella I did, didn't I- but don't think changing from 'granjura' to 'juragran' fooled anyone somehow ;)
For the 2016 change I'll try and be a bit more subtle ahahah

Anniebach Sun 13-Dec-15 14:18:49

Good grief, I doubt there is much interest in what I write now, why should anyone look in decades to come, soon have you been watching too many - into the future films? Or should that be bsck to the future .

Anniebach Sun 13-Dec-15 14:24:58

Rosequartz, pleeeease , you are asking that of someone who took several hours and many posts from a dear forum friend to work out when driving over the Severn bridge from Wales to England I was not driving west , seemed common sense to me if I was driving to the West Country I was driving west blush

rosequartz Sun 13-Dec-15 14:25:39

Or should that be bsck to the future
I spotted your deliberate mistake annie tchgrin

Oh dear, must go and do my rapping
Ain't no good to sit here yapping
Set the scene, bring in the tree
Dance round like Diversity
Losing the plot now, that's for sure
Change my name 'n' come back for more

rosequartz Sun 13-Dec-15 14:27:58

when driving over the Severn bridge from Wales to England I was not driving west

You have to go round the bend to get to the West Country grin
And if you are squinting in the sun you're on the right track (evenings only)

soontobe Sun 13-Dec-15 14:29:02

On the thread 'Ask a question' are you aware of how much info is being copied into 'The little book' just saying

I am tempted to report that. Not sure if complete lying can be reported or not.

Anniebach Sun 13-Dec-15 14:29:06

Sadly it wasn't deliberate rosequartz, but what a great idea you have given me - I do not make spelling errors, I make deliberate mistakes grin

granjura Sun 13-Dec-15 14:35:20

Only jesting of course, I'd never change my name.

Katek Sun 13-Dec-15 14:51:00

Rosequartz tchgrin tchgrintchgrin

Galen Sun 13-Dec-15 14:55:35

I thought this site was run by GNHQ?
soon says its GCHQ!
I know I'm ok! I was positively vetted when I joined the civil service, but I'm worried about some of yo!???

Katek Sun 13-Dec-15 15:10:05

Didn't know GN was run from Cheltenham??

Does a positive vetting from the 60's when my father worked for MOD Ops count? Hmm-thought not.

granjura Sun 13-Dec-15 15:19:27

Can never remember, does 'Disgusted' come from Tunbridge or Tonbridge? lol

granjura Sun 13-Dec-15 15:20:04

Or maybe from the Ladies' College- matron perhaps ;)

Katek Sun 13-Dec-15 15:35:36

Tunbridge Wells isn't it?

Galen Sun 13-Dec-15 15:38:07

Yes. Tunbridge Wells

mollie Sun 13-Dec-15 16:11:38

OK, I'll take it that as I don't understand I should just let it all go over my head as no one wants to explain. Clearly not bright enough...

soontobe Sun 13-Dec-15 16:21:27

mollie. For me, it would mean that gransnetters could be much better informed about many things, than we are at present.

soontobe Sun 13-Dec-15 16:22:21

New perspectives, new information, new ideas, new ways of doing things etc.

Elegran Sun 13-Dec-15 16:23:15

But if we were more informed about posters, would that not compromise privacy? You can't have it both ways.

rosequartz Sun 13-Dec-15 16:23:21

I know I'm ok! I was positively vetted when I joined the civil service, but I'm worried about some of yo!

Me too, Galen - and I signed the Official Secrets Act
I promise not to breathe a word about any of you .....

(no, I did not work at GCHQ tchgrin)

Galen Sun 13-Dec-15 16:24:34

May the goddess preserve me and my sanity!??

soontobe Sun 13-Dec-15 16:26:32

I am talking about being much better infromed about world matters. And not having to rely as much on media articles.

soontobe Sun 13-Dec-15 16:27:47

I dont think you scrolled back to mollie's post Elegran.
