Swearing on mumsnet

I love GN and thought I'd have a peek on mumsnet and although I found it (nearly) as interesting as GN,I was shocked at the amount of agressive language and swearing on that site. It actually put me off using it. I just don't think there is any need for it. I'm not saying that I never use bad language, but I would not sit there and put it in writing. I tend to swear on impulse and normally when no one is around.grin

No, it's not necessary.
I confess to typing the odd bloody on here but that's my limit. I've been known to say worse grin

The subject matter can be interesting but I do find the language a bit rough.

I also find swearing offensive. There's a lot of it on Facebook too, particularly among the younger people. Some of the things they post are unnecessary.

Don't worry jings, your secret is safe with me! wink

I thought I was overly sensitive. A lot of people seem so angry these days and swear quite loudly in public, sometimes at small children...

ninathenana I don't count "bloody" as swearing, my MIL is 82 and uses it all the time smile
