We have new neighbours , two doors away. They are an Indian family 30/40 ish with two boys one 11 and the younger about 9. They bought the house months ago and appear to have had it gutted and done through and they have suddenly appeared although no-one saw a removal van or anything. I went round a few days ago with flowers and a card and the wife was very shy but lovely.
Now they have been round to ask us in for food on Saturday evening. They are having the house blessed in the afternoon with prayers and a service and we are invited afterwards for the "party".
Now does anyone know what is expected? Do we take a gift, do we take our shoes off at the door and any thing else to do less we offend?
I have explained it will be a short visit as DH doesn't do "social " now but desperate not to blot our copy book. They told me the Paster and members of their church will be there.
