What or Pardon-Neither!!!!

If you'd seen him during his stint on I'm a Celebrity Get me Out of Here you wouldn't be of the same opinion, Gemmag. Babble, sulk, throw a strop - he did them all!

What!!! Nigel throwing a strop, shouting, jumping up and down but never babbling.

I bumped into a woman in the shops the other day and we both said sorry!
only the British eh? yer what? I can't hear you.

I remember an episode of Sharpe ( Sean Bean looking sexy) when he meets the King, and says " eh?" To him. the king says to everyone in a loud voice
" Sharpe says eh?!" Then he laughs and so does all the court and Sharpe relaxes.

Surely there are many other more important issues rather than discussion of what/pardon!! I was brought up to say scent not perfume: loo not toilet: sitting room not lounge! But really at the end of the day what does it matter. My darling gchildren say toilet and think I'm odd to say loo and I wouldn't think any lthe less of my lovely d in law if she said pardon. I have a dear friend whose posh partner actually reprimanded her use of pardon...sad! My dear pa always said the sign of a gentleman is to be able to talk to anyone at any time at any level. Life's odd ain't it !,!

Does it matter that it doesn't matter? There are many important things being discussed on here, some of them quite vehemently. A few inconsequential subjects are a welcome diversion. Not every real-life conversation is about weighty matters either, but it doesn't stop us talking to friends (and having a laugh about such things as farting )

You are quite right Elegran...just feeling my way! I'm new to all this. Perhaps first line was a bit heavy handed...my serious discussions tend to be a bit light weight! Ps. Can fart with the best of them
