I do exactly the same absent.
Sometimes I type out a long answer to an OP and then delete it.

I think I might post something on Gransnet and then I think, no…why bother. There are intelligent, informed and aware posters and there are, frankly ignorant, stupid and on-another-planet posters and I just think, don't bother absent, just don't bother.
