Just back from a few days in Dundee to celebrate youngest sister's 70th with a family picnic on Sunday - both sisters' DC plus OHs and delightful GC were present. A great time was had by all and yesterday adults had a boozy lunch in a restaurant in Broughty Ferry. One day, while our NZ sister had lunch with old Uni friends, other sister and I went out to lunch in Fife - your territory, Charley, I think; ate at a restaurant attached to a fruit farm and had a brew in the lovely village of Ceres. I do love Fife - lots of happy memories of childhood holidays at Granny's. We drove along the West Sands at St Andrews where preparations for the Open are well advanced - acres of marquees! It was very windy and at high tide, when the white-caps reached the beach, a big arc of spume was blown back into the sea - spectacular, and I wish I'd had the presence of mind to take a video.
