Hasn't it been busy here since yesterday? I was flabbergasted to see so many messages.

We've been to Campbeltown. Visited our pal and chatted with the lovely elderly ladies in the Kintyre Nursing Home. I showed them the wedding photos. They were very sweet and passed them to and fro. I saw a gent with a clipboard. He was ticking boxes. The senior carer told me that he represented the Scottish Care Quality Commission. I mentioned that our granddaughter worked with the UK CQC...and she introduced me to him. I told him that the carers here were extremely kind and patient. Ever since we've been visiting, I have witnessed a number of touching incidents. He really was interested and continued to ask me this and that. It's important to tell things as they are. So much bad press - but from time to time, it must be pleasant to hear positive appreciation.

It is a glorious day. MacSporran's sister and brother in law will be spending a couple of days with us next week. They live in Perth in Australia. They have several ports of call to make during their visit to the UK and, although MacS's sister has been here before, her husband hasn't.

The afternoon is getting decidedly muggy here, very still and warm. I hope it doesn't rain as I have just committed herbicide on the weeds on the outside of my front wall. They really are a disgrace! Have been out shopping (Lidl), wearing denim crops, teeshirt and denim sneakers. Probably not 'dressing my age', but really who wants to look like an old fogey?

Lona We have so many lovely memories of the wedding weekend. As we drink our early morning tea, we often talk about the highlights. Of course, very soon we'll have the official photographs to bore the pants off you drool over.

anno Our Galen and our BellasN will have a riot of a time. I can well imagine them sipping cocktails and looking amazing in their finery. Oh the tales that they'll have to share with us lot.

Anno is DRI a block of flats now? I have not been back to Dundee since I left DRI. I seemed to have spent my days cleaning there and also PMR in Edinburgh before that which is why I have such an aversion to it now! A minimal number of cleaners were employed- why when they had us lot? Times have changed!

Every hospital I worked in is either a pile of rubble or a block of flats with the exception of one, UCLH and it just moved a 100 yards or so and was a new build.

I won't show DH, he might be jealous........

I took a peep at the other chappie in the mankini and I have to say that you are far dishier, pompa...we Kitcheners are so lucky to have you to have fun with. You are such a good sport.

Back to watch the Andy v Novak match. It isn't going the way that I had hoped. The spectators seem to be falling asleep. Hey ho! I shall make a cup of tea. Surprising how much better one feels when hugging a mug.

The match is going Novak's way. I haven't leapt from my chair or screamed or anything much. However, our man is doing his best. As my late father used to say...play the game and it doesn't matter whether you win or lose. Funny thing is, when I lost in a swimming gala, I was never ever as happy as when I won. Still, I know that his advice made sense. Bless him.

We witnessed totally disgusting behaviour on the beach at Tenby today.
A man and woman arguing in front of a load of kids then she smacked
him one on the head and it all kicked off between them, the police
turned up and the policeman ended up using his baton on the bloke but
the man actually managed to get the baton off the copper and started
hitting the copper and the woman with it.
Then a crocodile turned up and stole all the sausages ........................
