Aaaargh.....one of those mornings!

I had to pay a bill today which I normally pay online but for some reason it wouldn't let me. Next option was to pay by phone and this is where it all started going wrong...60 minutes I held on listening to a loop recording if Bohemian Rhapsody and a disembodied voice saying my call would be answered shortly! No it b..... well wasn't. I have no idea how long it would have taken to answer as call automatically disconnected after an hour. I have emailed a strongly worded complaint-call me Victor Meldrew.

On top of that my online banking is playing up and won't let me log on, it keeps jumping screens.

I also managed to lock house phone when it got stuck down side of settee cushion. Couldn't work out how to fix it so had to take batteries out to reset it.

I'm going out shortly to meet friends-perhaps I shouldn't be driving.

Perhaps you should put your feet up and read a good book - it sounds as if today has been sufficiently eventful!

Pull the duvet up over your head and start again tomorrow smile

Let's hope the call you were holding on for wasn't a premium number. I had a query about an order which the senders has messed up and had to wait an age for somebody to deal with it and then quite a long time soting it out. I complained that I shouldn't have to pay premium rate (10p a minute) when it was their error and they promised to reimburse me. We'll see.

It was 0871 number....so think it's up there! Will be taking £6 off my bill if that's the case. Still fuming!

Well Katek tomorrow can only be better!

Technology is fine, until it isn't. I spent the best part of an hour yesterday and the day before, trying to buy tickets for one of the NT productions being shown at our local cineworld. Never had a problem previously but impossible this time. Luckily, it's 10 minutes away by car, as I was going that way anyway, I called and bought the tickets from a helpful assistant. She tried and failed several times to bring the production up on line. She then phoned base control who called back within 10 minutes to say there was a technical glitch which led to this production falling off the screen (or words to that effect). The same glitch meant the production isn't shown on the printed list of forthcoming events either. Our party of 4 may have the place to ourselves.
Hope you got sorted in the end Katek

A few weeks ago I rang my bank because I couldn't log in to online banking. I could enter the first part of my password OK but when I tried to enter the required two numbers at the end it wouldn't let me.

I was peeved because I assumed they'd put a block on my account and couldn't think why.

After I'd let off steam the poor girl at the other end suggested I check my keyboard.

I'd accidentally switched on the 'num lock' blush blush blush

LOL grin merlotgran

love it!

Oops, Merlotgran!

I circumvented the system by phoning local branch of the organisation and asking them to take the payment, which they have done. Not strictly orthodox so now I'm worrying in case it doesn't get to correct department!!

Am about to tackle the bank after dinner but I managed to get out and see friends earlier without any major mishaps. Myself and car in one piece.

I tried logging in to a Yahoo based site this morning and got muddled with passwords as my different Yahoo bits have different passwords.

That feeling of despair about making yet another such mess up just about had me in tears.

I regularly muddle up passwords and get myself locked out of various websites angry
No wonder some of us end up with one being used for everything!

I once rang BT on my mobile to complain my house phone wasn't working.
They were mystified, but an astute lady on the other end asked if by any chance I had a puppy. We had! And he'd managed to chew right through the phone cable. He lived to tell the tale, though.

So far, so good. I haven't tried to do much today yet , so things may change!
