Oh Bella! How awful, much tea and much sympathy! I think that is a very good example of Sod's Law. I bet you will really ache, maybe it isn't even apparent to you how badly you may be bruised, sometimes it isn't until the swelling has gone down that it really aches.
It's been a truly dreadful three years for my sister, even her relationship with a lovely man has broken down because of the time that she has had to devote to my niece and she has also given up her job. She bought a large house to share with my niece and her fiancé so that she could be close, which is I think both a blessing and a curse.
Every time they operate on my niece (non-cancerous tumour so can't be zapped) they say her tissues are weakening. They are now talking about having to reconstruct a large area of her skull with mesh and pull back her face over the top. I wonder if they will use 3D printing?
My niece is very beautiful, and very sweet, so you can imagine how it is affecting everyone. Her poor fiancé is half the size he used to be.
I think I shall send them all a rude card today. Something to make them all laugh rather than feel sorry for themselves. Doesn't it make you feel helpless, though. And you can never ever say what you are thinking, that maybe we shall be attending a funeral rather than a wedding.
