Ho, ho, ho... time for another Daft Game!

A simple game, known as 'Missing Vowels', which is probably familiar to many of you especially if you watch 'Only Connect' on a Monday evening. Players are given a theme as a clue to the answers then various words and phrases are spelt out omitting the vowels. I have done the first few to show how it works for anybody who doesn't already know it. The theme (surprise, surprise) is 'Christmas' and once we've exhausted Christmassy words and phrases somebody can then suggest a new, more challenging theme, anything goes... authors' names, capital cities, flowers, artists etc, etc

Joybloggs yes! You switch it on and it lights up and the sparkly bits float around and it changes colour. It is so pretty and I got 3 quid knocked off for having the display model.

Grannyknot that wasn't auto correct. There was a film called Family Man (I think) and it might have been Christmassy. smile

jings that's the second time it's happened with one of mine, so it makes the game a bit more interesting tchgrin

Grannyknot Thu 11-Dec-14 10:07:11

... excepting how did you get "man" when my word started with an "r"! hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 11-Dec-14 10:26:57

No Gk! It wasn't the fault of auto correct that time! (i explained!) tchhmm

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 11-Dec-14 10:28:02

Oh, I see what you mean. soz. Guilty. I Duffer. tchhmm

JoyBloggs Thu 11-Dec-14 11:09:35

Granny and Jings I also thought it might be 'family man' because I mistook the tiny writing on the screen to be 'mn' rather than 'rather than 'rnn' but I hadn't heard of the film... (berk emoticon).

Jings soontobe you got choccy's yet? Can't come up with anything... Now off to do something sensible and hope you'll have it sorted when I look in later tchgrin

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 11-Dec-14 12:13:59

soontobe says it's on dog station, but that means nothing to me. Have I/my GSs missed a Xmas film there? tchhmm

For some reason I find the gransnet smileys confusing so hmm and confused I now act as if they are one and the same thing.
I think that there is a sceptical one missing on gransnet.
