I am not sad and expect the people around Fairford are relieved.

It is only the heavy bombers. They were not here before the Iranian war. Everything else remains. The USA would not give up such a foothold easily.

I’m glad to see the back of them, it means that they can’t kill children having taken off from the U.K.

I'm pleased. They should never have been here in the first place.

As Whitewavemark2 says, the US connection to Fairford is still there, and the bombers will be back whenever they need to be.

The current POTUS will not be in power forever, we need to keep all doors open for when sanity is restored in the White House.

It was the right thing to do as the US and UK know there is an ongoing threat to Fairford if the bombers had remained there.

Glad the US bombers have gone, as has been said the US isn’t pulling out of Fairford at all, but the risk of a threat to the people living there has now decreased.

If this particular association with the US makes us a target for Islamic retribution, which it appears may have been behind the incident at Fairford, IMO we're better off without it.

It doesn't mean that all other planes and personnel have all gone back to the USA, they are here as part of NATO and an agreement between the UK and the USA.
