Good Morning Mick and All x
Dark also dry and fresh here in the NW. Birds singing too.
Wide awake at 5am this morning so have been writing cards. It's funny how you forget to write after doing so much typing------letters to do as well sad

Hope all is well with everyone.

Good Morning Mick and everyone,
Wide awake this morning, already had my 1st cuppa. Seems dry but cold outside. Think doggo will get an early walk after which must get the present wrapping done and boxes made for Hubbie's chocolate truffles.
Have a great day one and all.

gillybob Tue 11-Dec-18 07:23:20

Good morning everyone .

Just a word of warning, Windows 10 is horrible Mick

DH has been poorly all night again. I’ve got to get the DGC sorted and off to school so hope we can get an emergency GP appointment . 111 were worse than useless last night .

Good Morning all! I think we have a pleasant day in store weather-wise here on the south coast.

Off to a coffee morning later and to have a browse round Aldi. I like their Christmas special goodies. Fred the painter will finish today and it might even be by lunchtime. I am very happy with the result but looking forward to having the house back to ourselves. I might even get the decorations up once he's gone!

Hope the day is a good one for us all.

Morning Mick and All.

Looks a bit nippy out there in South Bucks.

I am taxi driver today to 4 friends. We are meeting up for our annual Christmas Coffee morning. Everyone taking some festive nibbles and I am taking the Quiz.

NanKate Tue 11-Dec-18 07:28:06

Hope your husband gets sorted Gillybob

Good morning from another mild Black Country.

Popping over to accompany Mum to a Doctors appointment today, as with her hearing and her tendency to get things a little mixed up, the family consensus is that someone should go with her.

Then I am joining U3A members for a 'posh' afternoon tea at a hotel which is only 2 miles from where Mum lives luckily.

Best wishes to your hubby gilly I hope you can get an appointment this morning.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning Mick, morning All from a dark, dry corner of Somerset. Visitors went home yesterday, looking forward to coffee and lunch today with a GN friend. You sound worried gilly, hope your husband can see a doctor quickly. Wishing you both well. Hope Tuesday is kind to everyone.

Good morning everyone. Dry at the moment in Northampton.

Finished Christmas tree yesterday; got some lovely gold bead chains instead of tinsel for the tree, and I must say it looks lovely, it just needed that finishing touch. Put a few decorations up in the sitting room, only about half as much as usual, but it still looks Christmassy. When DH was alive I would really go to town, the hall and dining room would be done as well.

Christmas lunch out today with my social club; must get a few cards done to take with me. And another lunch lined up for tomorrow!

Have a nice day, everyone.

Good Evening Mick and all Earlybirds! We've had another marvellous day, 28C and 33C tomorrow. However, it's going to bucket down Thur/Fri, and low 20s all next week. sad Still awaiting news of any wet days in London, so we can adjust our odds! tchsmile

Good morning all. Dry in East Northants although a frost seems to be forming on the cars. Almost all presents bought or ordered yesterday, so lots of wrapping to do. Wondering what to do about a neighbours cat who arrives every morning for breakfast - she really seems to be making herself at home! Have a good day everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 11-Dec-18 07:59:37

Good morning all x

Haven’t opened the curtains yet. I shall barricade myself in the bedroom today, light the Christmas Jo Malone candle my Mum bought me her last Christmas with us (I light it sparingly) and attack the gift wrapping.

Once that’s done I can see what else is needed.

Hope your DH is feeling better gb

Wishing you all a peaceful day ??????

Good morning from a dry but cloudy Birmingham. I’m going to a NT house today with my youngest daughter and granddaughter, then I have a hospital appointment later. I’ll go to my partner’s for dinner this evening and a tv catch up. I hope you can get an appointment, gillybob, and it’s nothing serious. Blue, your tree sounds lovely!

Brunette10 Tue 11-Dec-18 08:00:50

Good morning from a dark and dampish Fife. Still dark so not certain what the weather is going to be. Have dental hospital today but not holding out much hope for any positive outcome sad I will try and stay positive though. Have sore throat and not had a good sleep last night. HOWEVER, Christmas is coming closer so will get the festive hat on. Lunch yesterday in the capital was excellent. Hope all is well have a good day everyone.

Sar53 Tue 11-Dec-18 08:02:44

Good morning everyone from Essex by the sea. A few errands to run today then off to the hospital to visit OH. He was still very sleepy when I saw him yesterday evening so I left him to his beauty sleep and came home.
I still have presents to wrap and the cake to marzipan and ice so must get on with those.
Have a good day everyone.

Marydoll Tue 11-Dec-18 08:04:06

Good morning all, it's very cold here in Glasgow, only 5 degrees.
Supermarket and nursery run at lunchtime.
I'm going to try and wrap some more presents before going for DGD at lunchtime. I spent ages yesterday emptying cupboards looking for the paper that I bought in the January sales, then I remembered I had bought a special bag to store them on and they were in DH 's den!

Mick a lot of the fixes for Window's 10 have now been done, so hopefully you won't have too many problems. You can always come on GN for advice. grin

Gilly, I'm sorry to hear your DH is unwell, I hope you manage to get to see a GP.

To all the ladies meeting for a natter today, enjoy.

Have a good day all.

aggie Tue 11-Dec-18 08:06:07

Morning all, the tarmac machine woke me this am. The builder three doors up is finishing off the plot , just wish he didn't park outside my bedroom window . Getting my hair cut later

Urmstongran Tue 11-Dec-18 08:12:27

Good morning everyone. Dry and mild here in South Manchester - streaks of blush pink across the sky from a beautiful sunrise earlier.
Hope you get an urgent GP appointment gillybob for your husband. I agree, 111 is a poor substitute and anxiety in the night regarding health issues is exhausting - the night seems never ending. I’m sure we’ve all been there on occasion.
I’d best write Christmas cards today & get them posted. Starting to feel embarrassed by all that are arriving!

dragonfly46 Tue 11-Dec-18 08:13:44

Morning all - appointment with the GP today to try and alleviate some of the panic I am feeling.

Sorry to hear about your DH Gilly it must be very worrying on top of everything else.

Pittcity Tue 11-Dec-18 08:13:54

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. It's as cold as Glasgow today.
Visiting family this afternoon, so must get some housework done this morning. DH rearranged the furniture for the decorations while I was out yesterday and failed to clean the floor afterwards!

Marydoll Tue 11-Dec-18 08:15:34

Dragonfly, best wishes for today.

EllanVannin Tue 11-Dec-18 08:19:15

Poor gillybob, if it isn't one thing it's another. Hope DH feels better and you're right about Windows 10 I wish I was back with my old vista win 7. There's about 400 emails now in the old laptop that I can't migrate/transfer to the 10, yahoo won't let me.

Greyduster Tue 11-Dec-18 08:23:42

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Looks quite reasonable on the other side of the curtains today. DH is going off to town to do his Christmas shopping. I am on domestics today and finishing the cards. Gilly I hope your DH gets to see a doctor today ??. Have a good day folks.
