It is so nice that you put food out for your neighbor's cat. I hope he has not been abandoned. I know that some will come around even when they have a soft, warm bed with bowls of food and treats awaiting them at home. One of my cats was that way.

Good Morning everyone. 5.30am here, and been awake since 3.20! Grrrrr! This insomnia is really wearing me down. Enough I say! But a couple of nice days ahead. We go to San Francisco to see younger GD in her Christmas Carol Concert, followed by dinner at an Indian Restaurant, yum! Staying overnight in the city and Wednesday we go with DS and wife to watch the movie “Love Actually “ at the SF Symphony who will be playing all the accompanying music. Should be interesting! Watch this space...........?

Salutations from a fairly bright Aberdeenshire. Heard yesterday that we raised nearly £3000 at Santa's grotto, so that's a nice wee Xmas donation to Barnardos...hard work but good fun!
Mick, I hope you get on OK with Windows 10...I hate it with a passion, too much stuff on it that you will never use.
Cleaned out my store cupboard yesterday and Lord Lucan failed to be found lurking at the rear. However, there was a half pack of raisins, best before 2015, so the birds are now having a feast!

Good morning, cold but dry here.
Lots of jobs to do today before driving 45 minutes to collect GD2 from school.
The Ofsted report for the village school went public yesterday and is now in special measures. DS and DIL want to attend a meeting at the school this evening so we are on childcare duties.
It could be that GD2 will join her sister at the independent school in the city.
It is very worrying when a school fails at English, maths and reading.
Hope DH gets sorted gilly and feels better soon.

I have to say 111 are great here in Leicestershire. Although the Urgent Care Centre sent my husband home telling him he had flu when he had Legionnaires!

Yesterday afternoon I made the almond pastry for my mince pies, and left it in the fridge. I will make them this morning, I ran out of steam yesterday.

Poor gillybob, if it isn't one thing it's another. Hope DH feels better and you're right about Windows 10 I wish I was back with my old vista win 7. There's about 400 emails now in the old laptop that I can't migrate/transfer to the 10, yahoo won't let me.

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. It's as cold as Glasgow today.
Visiting family this afternoon, so must get some housework done this morning. DH rearranged the furniture for the decorations while I was out yesterday and failed to clean the floor afterwards!

Morning all - appointment with the GP today to try and alleviate some of the panic I am feeling.

Hope you get an urgent GP appointment gillybob for your husband. I agree, 111 is a poor substitute and anxiety in the night regarding health issues is exhausting - the night seems never ending. I’m sure we’ve all been there on occasion.
I’d best write Christmas cards today & get them posted. Starting to feel embarrassed by all that are arriving!

Morning all, the tarmac machine woke me this am. The builder three doors up is finishing off the plot , just wish he didn't park outside my bedroom window . Getting my hair cut later

Good morning all, it's very cold here in Glasgow, only 5 degrees.
Supermarket and nursery run at lunchtime.
I'm going to try and wrap some more presents before going for DGD at lunchtime. I spent ages yesterday emptying cupboards looking for the paper that I bought in the January sales, then I remembered I had bought a special bag to store them on and they were in DH 's den!

Mick a lot of the fixes for Window's 10 have now been done, so hopefully you won't have too many problems. You can always come on GN for advice.

Gilly, I'm sorry to hear your DH is unwell, I hope you manage to get to see a GP.

Good morning everyone from Essex by the sea. A few errands to run today then off to the hospital to visit OH. He was still very sleepy when I saw him yesterday evening so I left him to his beauty sleep and came home.
I still have presents to wrap and the cake to marzipan and ice so must get on with those.

Good morning from a dark and dampish Fife. Still dark so not certain what the weather is going to be. Have dental hospital today but not holding out much hope for any positive outcome I will try and stay positive though. Have sore throat and not had a good sleep last night. HOWEVER, Christmas is coming closer so will get the festive hat on. Lunch yesterday in the capital was excellent. Hope all is well have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a dry but cloudy Birmingham. I’m going to a NT house today with my youngest daughter and granddaughter, then I have a hospital appointment later. I’ll go to my partner’s for dinner this evening and a tv catch up. I hope you can get an appointment, gillybob, and it’s nothing serious. Blue, your tree sounds lovely!

Haven’t opened the curtains yet. I shall barricade myself in the bedroom today, light the Christmas Jo Malone candle my Mum bought me her last Christmas with us (I light it sparingly) and attack the gift wrapping.

Once that’s done I can see what else is needed.
