Has anybody noticed this? The person speaking affects a sort of throaty drawl as thought they can scarcely be bothered to speak.
It is often accompanied by the word " so " and usually ( but not always) a sort of Estuary English. This phenomena is common on the radio, particularly 5 live.It intensifies if the speaker is in some way worthy and serious.

Some would suddenly develop a funny walk, as though they'd had an embarrasing accident - but they apparently thought it looked cool. Not cool at all - just daft! (But then that weird hairstyle I had at 13 must have looked pretty daft too!)
