Who else started watching this on Channel 5 last night?

It’s on again tonight and tomorrow, I think.

I have the book on order from the library, ready to collect.

Hope I can get it read before it finishes on tv, think there are 6 episodes.

I watched the first episode and thought it was potentially interesting, the conflict of interest and the different perspectives on the situation. When I realised there were six episodes I did Google the series, ive been caught by to many series that start of very promising and really are not worth the the time spent.
Im glad I did. I won't give the ending away and I think the book is slightly different.
The reviews are mixed. I came away feeling such a serious subject shouldn't be used as basis for a "couples" drama. More i thought about it the more uneasy I felt. The Dr did absolutely the only thing she could have done in the circumstances. Im assuming the overall theme is assumptions and how we often only see what we want to see. At the heart of it the priority is the person be it child or adult suffering abuse. I hope this isnt lost in the story line.

I enjoyed the book. I have enjoyed all of Sarah Vaughan's writing.

I have started a lot if these dramas and watched them through but not been particularly gripped by many. I have given up on The Hardacres I think a mistake to continue with it.
Will give Little Disasters a go but wait until I can watch the lost. Been watching Death Valley on BBC1 which is on at same time.

I didn't know it was on, thanks for the heads up, I read the book. Coincidentally, I'm reading Sarah Vaughan's latest at the moment.

Binge watched it all yesterday, we started watching and just ended up watching it all

It's very watchable. There's a few things that just wouldn't happen in the real world but all in all , very good.

I saw the first episode and found it watchable but not particularly gripping. I will probably tune in again tonight and see how it progresses.

Where did you manage to watch it all? There are only three episodes on the Channel 5 app?

Calendargirl Tue 16-Jun-26 16:14:47

I wondered that also Jane43.

Oregano Tue 16-Jun-26 22:59:45

I've also only managed to watch three episodes!

Well, we’ll just have to wait until next week then.

None of the characters are at all likeable, are they?

Good to see the policeman has had a transfer from Jersey, obviously giving Jim Bergerac a break.

Little Disasters is available on Amazon Prime as a free 7 day trial of Paramount+.
That then auto-renews at £4.99 a month.
Just so you're aware.

Calendargirl, totally agree about the unlikeable characters.

It seems possible one of the young sons could have hurt the baby, not sure why they haven't considered that.

That’s a thought I had, the older child seems to have a bit of a temper.
